It is morning and the chapter starts out at the Kinomoto residence. Sakura wakes up a little drowsily and sits up. Kero-chan is sleeping soundly beside her and Sakura goes to change. After putting on her uniform, Sakura looks into the mirror and gives us one of her kawaii smiles. She says that everything is okay and that she's back to her normal self. On her desk is the hankerchief that Shaolan had given her and there's a small flashback to when he says that she shouldn't worry, she'll definately be able to find that special person. She picks up the hankerchief, holds it to her face and thanks him. (what is this? Is there a small blush on Sakura-chan's face? *grins*)
The scene switches to when it is breakfast time and Fujitaka greets Sakura with a good morning. He tells her that she's up pretty early today and Sakura says that she just woke up early. She even brought the newspaper in. Just then, Fujitaka begins to look at Sakura with very kind eyes and Sakura is curious to why he's looking at her like that. Fujitaka kneels down and smiles saying that he's happy that Sakura has returned to her normal self. Sakura has been a little down lately. Sakura starts to worry that she's been acting weird but her father assures her that she hasn't but he knew because he is her father. (awww...) Anyway, Sakura thanks Fujitaka for worrying about her and she tells her that she really is alright. Fujitaka then says that in that case, he's going to make her favourite breakfast...PANCAKES! At that point, Touya takes Sakura's newspaper away and begins to read it...with half of the pages in her face. Sakura kicks Touya and he doubles over in pain. However, Touya has been really tired lately and Fujitaka is concerned. Ever since Touya gave his magic away to Yukito, he's been awfully tired. Touya reassures him that he'll be okay. Sakura starts thinking about what Kero-chan has said. Giving your magic away is like giving your blood away. However, because you can't make magic, he'll probably stay like this. He did this so that Yukito and Yue wouldn't disappear.
After the delicious looking pancakes have been cooked, Sakura is extremely happy and starts praising her dad. She then suddenly remembers how much Eriol seems like Fujitaka and Fujitaka remembers Sakura talking about him. He wears glasses, he smiles nicely all the time, can cook, can sew... Touya has met him as well an describes him to her. "this tall..." (indicates his height) "with straight hair." Touya begins to act mysteriously and says, "If that kid is who I think he is..." Then Fujitaka suggests that Eriol should come ove and they eat their pancakes.
On the way to school, Sakura exclaims that it is nice to be out this early. She is rollerblading and seems a little disappointed that Yukito isn't where he usually is. She hasn't seen Yukito since the last battle and she contemplates that she still loves Yukito but the way she feels about him is a little different. She'll be a little embarassed of hanyaaaan ^^ but it will be different. She then thinks that she can think this way because of Shaolan. She then says that she has to do something to thank him. As she rollerblades, she sees a sign for the summer festival at the Tsukimine Shrine this Sunday. An idea hits hr and she quickly blades to school. Burstinginto the doors, she excitedly asks if Shaolan can come to the festival.. "This Sunday, there's a festival! At the Truskimine shrine!" Shaolan is rather...odd, he's just staring and letting Sakura get over-excited. ^^ He's not even blushing! *gasp* Then Sakura begins to worry that Shaolan is busy on Sunday but he replies that he is not. (Now he's blushing...^^) Then, she promptly invites him to her house on Sunday atsix oclock at makes him pinky swear. She then takes the pot of flowers he had and runs off saying that she'll water them. All Shaolan does is watch her leave and Eriol exclaims that he is very happy to see that Sakura is back to normal and promptly thanks him. Shaolan is a little confused and Eriol explains that it is he who helped Sakura return to herself. Shaolan says that he hasn't done anything and...asks why Eriol is thanking him. Eriol smiles but doesn't reply because Sakura comes in and greets Eriol. Eriol is early because he had to go to the library. As the two chat, Shaolan watches with a slight frown.
The next part is done rather interestingly and it's a little hard to describe so I'll do it in a different format.
Tuesday: Sakura has a bandage on her thumb and her pointer finger. Tomoyo is concerned and asks if Sakura is alright but Sakura says she is fine. Shaolan is a little alarmed.
Wednesday: Sakura has three bandages, one on her thumb, her pointer finger and her middle finger. Shaolan says that it seems that she's hurt herself again but Sakura denies it. Shaolan is a little concerned.
Thursday: Sakura has four bandages on her left hand and two bandages on the other. Again, on the thumb and pointer finger. Shaolan is thoroughly alarmed and Shaolan says that she IS getting more hurt. Sakura nervously says, "Really?"
Friday: Now Sakura has bandages on all of her fingers on both hands except for her pinkies. Shaolan exclaims that Sakura must be doing something dangerous and Sakura nervously laughs it off. Tomoyo is in the background with an "oh my..." expression.
Saturday: *lol* Now, Sakura has bandages on all of her fingers and even has a bandage on each hand. ^^ Shaolan doing a good job at wigging out exclaims that it's impossible that something hasn't happened since you've been injured like this. He's grabbing her hands and Sakura says that nothing has happened. After saying this Shaolan looks down and asks that it's because she can't tell him. Sakura looks sad but Tomoyo to the rescue! She takes Sakura away saying that she promised to go shopping with her today. Shaolan starts to blush again when he notices that he's holding her hand. ^^ While leaving Sakura says that she really is alright and that tomorrow at six o'clock at her house, she'll be waiting for him. Eriol is smiling as they leave while...Shaolan sweatdrops... (kawaii...)
On the way home, Sakura thanks Tomoyo and Tomoyo says that it was nothing. She then asks if she'll make it in time and Sakura says that if she doesn't sleep today, she'll be able to make it. Tomoyo offers to help but Sakura wants to do it alone. Sakura says that even thought he likes someone else, Shaolan used to like Yukito and so she told him what had happened with Yukito. She cried because she was so sad but she didn't think that her sad feelings would flow out of her like her tears. She believes that because she talked to Shaolan, she was able to return to herself. This is why she is doing this to thank him and she has to try her hardest. Tomoyo smiles and says that he will understand what Sakura is doing. Sakura smiles and thanks Tomoyo. She thanks Tomoyo for always helping her and for always thinking of her. If something makes Tomoyo sad, then she most definately has to tell her because Sakura will do anything for Tomoyo but Tomoyo replies that as long as Sakura is smiling, she will never feel any hurt. This is because if Sakura is happy then so will she. Then then smile at each other and walk home holding hands.
On Sunday, Shaolan rings Sakura's doorbell, his heart beating. Sakura opens the door and welcomes Shaolan in. He's apparently just on time and at the sight of Sakura, he begins to blush. Sakura is wearing a kimono with cherry blossoms on them and looks very cute. (Actually, Shaolan is pretty well dressed. He's got these cargo's on, a nice shirt with a tie. He looks very cute. ^^) She then leads Shaolan into her dad's room and Fujitaka is there waiting for him. They introduce themselves to each other and greet each other and...Sakura leaves the room, much to the alarm of Shaolan...or confusion, NEwayz. After she leaves, Fujitaka should change into "this", a striped kimono. Well...it's known as a yukata. Anyway, Fujitaka tells Shaolan that Sakura made this yukata. She said that she wanted to give one to a person and asked him to teach her to make one in four days. He states that Sakura isn't good at sewing but she put a lot of love into it. Shaolan then thinks of Sakura hands and realizes that Sakura got all those injuries from sewing. (ouch...that must have hurt...) Shaolan looks at Fujitaka one more time and notices how similar he is to Eriol. Before he can think about it any further, Fujitaka tells him to change.
In Sakura's room, Kero-chan is disappointed that he can't go to the festival but Sakura promises to bring something back. She is promptly called by her dad and Sakura leaves. Kero-chan is happy to notice that Sakura is feeling better.
Downstairs, Sakura is extremely happy to see Shaolan in his Yukata. She exclaims that it looks very nice. After that, the both of them leave and Shaolan thanks Fujitaka. On the way to the festival, Shaolan thanks Sakura for the Yukata but Sakura says the person to thank someone is her about the other day. With that, she hands Shaolan his hankerchief and Shaolan is slightly blushing. She then tells him that she has also invited Tomoyo, her brother and Yukito. Shaolan pauses, a little concerned but Sakura tells him that it's going to be alright because now, she thinks of him as family.
Hwever, at another part of the street, Yukito is a little concerned about Sakura. He's happy that she invited him. He knew that Sakura liked him but if he had to tell her what he knew because then she wouldn't been able to find her soul mate. He's afraid that Sakura won't be happy to see him but Touya says that she has accepted what he has said. In fact, she's back to her normal self even though it's a bit annoying. Touya then smiles at Yukito and says that is the reason she invited him today. Yukito smiles back and agrees.
At the festival, Tomoyo, who is looking very nice, comes to greet Sakura and Shaolan. She begins to gush over the both of them and then Sakura notices that her brother and Yukito have come. Meanwhile, up in the trees, Nakuru is happily watching the festival. Spinel Sun notices that her yukata is a girl's yukata. Apparently she had made Eriol make it especially for her and she replies that it doesn't matter cause she looks good in it. Eriol who is waiting to the side states that on a day like this, he really doesn't want to attack them...but...oh well, that can't be helped. In a little box, we see Sakura smiling happily.
(Awww....this was so sweet. All of it was sweet... ^^)
