You mean, besides all the OBVIOUS examples of their feelings for each other in the Memorable Moments? Well... here's the much needed and (oddly enough) just recently added Ranma and Akane reasons for this site. In no particular order...
- Instant antipathy = Instant attraction! In other words, opposites attract.
- Their Martial Arts styles match = ultimate compatibility in fighting. They teamed up very well to beat the Dojo Destroyer and defended the school of Anything- Goes from Soun's 'other daughters'!
- Akane is the only person capable of restoring Ranma to sanity after undergoing the Nekoken.
- Ranma can count on Akane for those special head massages via mallet.
- Rumiko Takahashi planned it that way - TADA!
- They can conquer otherwise impossible obstacles to their relationship without even realizing: Surviving the Tunnel of Lost Love, and Mikado and Azusa's "Good-bye Whirl!"
- Ranma seems to freeze up when confronted with er, overeager and overly affectionate girls. Akane would never make such a display.
- Their romance never has a dull moment. Ever since the beginning, Akane's had an extraordinary number of kidnappings and other marriage proposals to keep Ranma busy.
- What would Akane do if she didn't have a pigtail to pull?
- Let me just recapitulate all the tender moments, bouts of jealousy, and expressions of love in, ahem, the Memorable Moments.
- Ranma will keep Akane's head from swelling from her numerous admirers with his ego- busting compliments. And vice versa.
- Akane "likes him the way he is."
- Ranma "likes her the way she is."
- Ranma would never physically fight with Akane since he doesn't want her hurt; he has fought against Kodachi, Shampoo, and Ukyou.
- Akane needs a guy who is her superior in Martial Arts (or at least one who can rescue her from all those little mishaps.)
- Ranma is willing to eat Akane's cooking at the expense of his health.
- Ranma always claims Akane as "HIS fiancee!" (against Mikado, Shinnosuke, Ryouga, etc.)
- Ranma doesn't treat Akane as an object to be won. (unlike Ryouga)
- Akane overcame Shampoo's "Xi Fa Xiang Gao Shiatsu" technique and remembered Ranma... with a little verbal abus- I mean, help from Ranma.
- Ranma sacrificed his cure at Togenkyo so Akane wouldn't be Cursed also!
