This is an absolutely brilliant album! There are 2eps and one VCD with two music videos. One of the eps is titled Kiss Me Soft, and the other 'Play It Loud'. One contains 'slow' songs and the other fast dance songs. So depending what mood you're in you can choose to listen to either one of them.
Track 1 of' 'Play It Loud' will give you a surprise!- Its the way Miriam has sang this song which makes this song stand out.

The songs in both of them are superb! I think it'll take a quite a long time before I get bored of the songs. Although Miriam has kept her fans waiting for a very long time for the release of this CD I feel the wait was worth it. The reason why it took so long was because she was busy with acting in a new TVB TV drama, this TV drama will be broadcasted soon in September this year after Miriam's concert.

This CD is worth buying, and worth listening to! Especially for those already into Canto Pop.

After all that hard work on the 2 excellent movies 'Needing You...' and 'Summer Holiday' Sammi has finally released her latest Cantonese album.
The main attraction of this album is obviously the songs from her two latest hit movies.
All 10 tracks are new songs, the style and concepts of the songs have not really changed since her last Cantonese album; the 'feel' from the songs are quite the same.

Last year Sammi had Mark Lui to compose a great song for her concert, this time Mark worked with Sammi again unfortunately, unlike other compositions this one doesn't sound as excellent since the song gets a bit boring as it continuously repeats it self.

There are a few fast songs within the 10 tracks but the only best one has to be track 10 which contains a rap by MC 'Yun' of LMF, with a techno, yet fast dance beat; a song that is probably most suited for the hype of rave parties in Hong Kong.

Apart from track 10, recommended tracks include the 3 songs featured in the movies 'Needing You...' and 'Summer Holiday' (tracks 1,4 and 7). Another good song would be 'Ladies First'.

This is Gi Gi's second album of past best hits this year, however the difference would be the first one was a collection of Mandarin hits only. I've bought both of these album but I would only recommend this album, 'Kiss'. Although they both contain 16 songs in which 3 of them our newly produced, there is at least some diversity of style in each song in the album 'Kiss', whilst in the Mandarin collection the majority of songs are quite similar and so it gets a little boring.

This collection contains all the best Cantonese hits you can think of, from the very first hit (Love Yourself) to her latest 'Kiss Me'.

Cecilia has certainly proved 'a brand new me' in her singing career. All 12 tracks in this album showed some new progress and improvement.
I didn't choose to buy this CD for the large attractive packaging, it was the songs! 'Traveling With My Self' and 'A Brand New Me' must not be missed! Traveling With My Self (track 4) was the song composed by Nicholas Tse which shot up in the charts!

Though the album is titled 'A Brand New Me', the image the songs provided are also still the usual young and innocent girl. However, the chorus for track 7 (a song featured in the movie '12 Nights') contained the feeling of Japanese pop with its 'electrical' music. Though this may sound like a fresh idea, people who listen to Japanese pop will probably find it boring since its too common.

Nevertheless, I'd recommend this album to fans of Canto Pop especially, and those who are already fond of Cecilia's music since this album will provide you no disappointments.

And about her voice well I must say for some reason it doesn't stand out in the way it used to! May be because we're all used to it now! Well that's one brand new thing about Cecilia.

What's free?
With this album you get a free doll of Cecilia that's 4 inches in height, with a head that wobbles! Not that its broken, that's the nature of the doll!
You can also see the Music Video of 'A Brand New Me'.

Although the dull mono colour picture of Leon doing his tie gives the impressions that this CD is filled with slow love songs, the first half of the CD will actually liven up your spirits with the aid of fast dance beats and funky lyrics. Tracks 3 (Two People One Body),4 (All day Love),5 and 6 (Mi-2) provides these sensations. Whilst the Interlude titled 'Room 201' will provide a much calmer feeling, this leads to the slow love songs of the CD.
The CD therefore suits fans of his dance music as well as his love songs, and once again Mark Lui composed and produced a majority of the tracks with much effort.

Leon also attempted to sing in English too, these tracks are titled 'Fly Me To The Moon' in the style of Blues, and 'Sausalito' which is the English version of the song for the movie 'Love at First Sight'. Surprisingly Leon has made a lot of improvement in his English!

The CD also came with a VCD, and once again the music videos included are excellent! Filled with computer graphics and special effects. One of the music video included clips from 'Love at First Sight' with Maggie Cheung.

Joey's first ep was a great success, it led her to becoming a rising star!
Unfortunately, her songs in her second ep did not show much improvements. There was however a nice flow of songs in the beginning of the EP which consisted of a relatively fast dance beat, especially in track 1 (called : Don't Miss Out) which contained very straight forward lyrics.

The slow ballad love songs in Joey's last release were loved by many people and became very popular too! This time round there's only 2 such songs, but although the standard is unquestionably excellent, the style of the song loosed out on the fresh feeling, it reflected past love songs instead.

Recommended tracks include 1,2 and 3 (Don't Miss Out, Latest News, Loving You). I feel these songs bring out the more unique side of Joey, also it differentiates her with many other female HK singers, as she follows her own concept and style in music.

Joey was actually hoping to release an album instead of an EP but due to her busy schedule with the TVB production ('Fresh people') she did not have time to complete a full album.
But don't worry, her next release may not be an Ep3, but a full album! If so that would be her first album ever! Lets hope she makes it!

This is the VCD I came across, the EEG Karaoke Volume 1 VCD. It's great! it contains karaoke's to Joey Yungs 3 hit songs ( Still Don't Know, Avoiding You, Loving You More By that Minute), also Nicholas Tse 2 hit mandarin songs, there is also Lillian Ho, Grace Ip, Lor Ga Leung, Bonny (Chiu Hot Yee)...every song is a hit from their current release!
This is a official karaoke VCD so each singer is featured in the music video. You can also see the award winning Music Video of Nicholas Tse for the song 'Grateful for Your Love 1999'.

The female songs in the VCD are great to sing to, I'm not too sure about the male ones, but altogether there are only 4 male sons and 10 female songs. That's probably because there are more female singers in the company EEG, also this year they are taking on another new female singer of age 18 named Lisa Wong so watch out, she might be just as good as the others!?!?
