who didn't reply, I'm sorry, but I've deleted those entries. If you
wish to reply, You may do so within the next month. I have received
a few other entries since, they're posted below.
Also, I know you've all been waiting patiently, but I hope you don't mind waiting a little longer. ^.^;;; We currently have two major events happening in the game (which you'll know about if you've been reading the posts) and I'm trying to hold off bringing new people into the game until those events are closer to completion. I really don't want to subject anyone to the chaos of us in full battle mode on their first day. ^.^ Rest assured, if it's not over within the month, I'll be announcing the winner regardless.
Yes, folks, that's right, it's the first ever Children of Nerima Contest! And this isn't just any contest, for the winner gets to play the child of Ranma and Akane in the on-line RPG!
Actually... that's why we're holding the contest. ^_^ The child of Ranma and Akane is not an easy seat to fill, considering that your character has to meet some very specific requirements. Up until now, the spot has remained empty, for all who have applied have fallen short of what was needed. Finally, after discussion between the mod and I, it was decided to hold this contest.
THE ENTRIES SO FAR:
Here's what you do: After reading the RULES and FAQ pages, use the below form and create a character whose parents are Ranma and Akane Saotome. Then, after making sure that all requirements are met and all rules are followed, e-mail the character to both Mercedes and Malcolm.**
It's that simple. ^_^ Of course, then comes the hard part... Each applicant will be asked to audition for the role in an IM chat session. Whether it will be with just the Admin. and mod, or with other players as well, all depends on who's on-line that night. If you can't find a way to set up an audition, we'll most likely require a writing sample from you. After we've allowed time for as many people as are going to apply do so, a winner will be chosen and accepted into the ranks of the game.
Without further ado... here's the stuff you need to know to create your child of Ranma and Akane! Everything in green is the stuff that can't be changed / has to be included in some way. Everything in [brackets] are explanations and suggestions.
- Read everything on this site. That includes the RULES and FAQ pages,
the character bios on the RPG page, and the following fanfics which
are canon to the game: Cured!

- Where Are You Now? -- A short, but very
sweet Ryouga and Ukyou fic. Shows how the two have changed.
- Fast As I Can -- While incomplete, this series is still canon to the game and may give you some insight on timeline and such.

- Read at least some of the posts on the mailing list (http://www.egroups.com/group/con_rpg/ ). It'll give you a feel for how the game is run and how we play it.
- KNOW YOUR RANMA! In other words, be at least semi-knowledgable about the series. We're not going to test you or anything, but if you know little to nothing about "Ranma 1/2," it shows and will count against you. Your character has to fit the genre of the series, and hence the game.
- You MUST be able to post regularly. Meaning at least three times a week if necessary. No posting once a week! It holds up the group and you can get left behind if the others in your thread become impatient.
- Lastly, fill out the below form... and remember, DON'T SKIMP ON THE DETAIL!

has it effected you? What are your likes and dislikes? Basically, what
happened to your character up to the point in which you enter the game.
You might want to include an explanation as to why you haven't been around
for the game so far, whether it be training trip, visiting relatives far
away, whatever.]

You have little to no say on how R&A acted while raising you, but we can give you an idea. You've been training in martial arts your entire life, UNLESS you don't want to be a martial artist (for some strange reason). Your parents would have been fair, if tough on your mistakes. Despite their occasional arguing, they love you and each other very much.

While you don't have to be a fighter, you're obviously very proficient in martial arts, even if you only use in self-defense. It comes with the territory.

The Saotome and Hibiki families are very close. In fact, the Hibiki children have occasionally received training from Ranma and Akane, just as your character might receive some from Ryouga and/ or Ukyou. Your character will know the Hibiki family VERY well. This does not mean you have to like them, however. [Maybe tell us how you relate to each of the three siblings. You might want to put that information in the Temperament section, but you don't have to.]

You have a cast iron stomach. Akane's cooking may no longer be lethal, but many still run in fear when she brings food to the table.
