The Black Moon Family
Esmeraude is the successor of Rubeus. Her duties were to capture and fill Crystal Points with dark energy to open the Dark Gate. She used small crystal statues of herself made by Safir to absorb energy. She used droids to get her work done. Esmeraude has feelings for Prince Demando, and will do most anything for his attention and to impress him. Finally, Wiseman tricks Esmeraude into wearing a crown which would turn her into a queen. She does this thinking she can win Demando over, but the dark energy consumes her and transforms her into a dragon. Unknowing of the true identity of the creature, the Sailor Senshi kill her.
Safir is Prince Demando's loyal brother. He doesn't approve of Demando's plans to overcome the earth, but he is willing to do it for his brother. Safir is the first to discover Wiseman's evil plans, and tries to warn Demando of it. Wiseman tries to kill him, but he escapes to the past and the Ayakashi Sisters find him. It is revealed that he and Petz used to be together. He leaves to search for Demando, telling Petz to keep his jacket until he comes back. Wiseman manages to find Safir first and with Demando watching Wiseman kills him. At the instant in which he died, Safir's jacket falls off the hanger and Petz knows he won't come back for it.
**In the manga, Safir was killed by Prince Demando.
Prince Demando is the leader of the Black Moon Family. He wants revenge on the earth people for banishing them away from the planet. Wiseman is his counselor and gives him advice, yet Demando does not realize he is being used and manipulated. He is in love with Neo-Queen Serenity, and tries to hypnotize Sailor Moon into loving him back. After Safir's death, Demando went into a battle with Wiseman, and nearly killed him, but Wiseman's crystal globe regenerated the pieces of his body. Wiseman then killed Demando. With his last moments, Demando asked forgiveness of Sailor Moon and revealed that all he had really wanted was for he and his people to live on a beautiful planet, with plants and flowers.
Black Lady is the twisted, evil form of Chibi-usa. Wiseman managed to manipulate Chibi-usa into thinking that she grew up without any kind of love or kindness. She is the messenger of the Death Phantom, and she is to allow the energy of the Dark Crystal to flow through her body and open the Dark Gate. Sailor Moon and the others try to make Black Lady remember her true memories so she will be restored to normal. She begins to regain her memories and with all the confusion, the black crescent moon and yellow one began to fade in and out on her forehead. Wiseman appears and gives her another boost from the Dark Crystal, ensuring her loyality to the Black Moon. While Black Lady was opening the Dark Gate, Sailor Moon transformed into Neo-Gueen Serenity and was able to convince Black Lady of her true feelings and she was restored back as Chibiusa.
Wiseman is the entity who manipulated both the Black Moon Family as well as Chibiusa. He plans to overcome 30th Century Earth and destroy it by washing it over in darkness. He makes illusions to trick people so he may se them as his servants. Wiseman's goal is to release the Death Phantom, which is is other self. When the Death Phantom is released into earth through the Dark Gate, he will have complete power. Wiseman is destroyed when the two Silver Crystals of the past and future and the power of all the senshi are combined.
