History
Dûment, the planet, was once the cleanest, brightest and most beautiful planet of all planets in the constellation Cygnus, meaning swan. It had a great system of preventing pollution. It was one of the outermost colonies of the Moon Kingdom, right at the border of unknown space. It was used for observation and as military outpost, although it soon became a trading colony. Its soil was very fertile and all sorts of species of plants and animals lived in a peaceful co-existence. The Negaverse saw this delicate planet as a good source of positive energy, and it was the first planet to fall in the dark claws of the Negaverse.
While Sailor Dûment and the three Knights of the planet fought the Negaverse as long as possible, it was hopeless. Then, the three knights told Sailor Dûment to go help the Sailor Scouts on the Moon. However, Sailor Dûment refused, saying she would rather die then leave her beloved planet. One night, Sailor Dûment was lying wounded on her bed in the palace. She heard a sound and got up, looking for who made it, thinking it might be an intruder. She was mistaking, it was Boshko. She fell on the floor and did not get up anymore. Since she was deadly wounded, the little midnight trip weakened her so badly, she died the next morning. But Boshko had implanted a device, and she was reincarnated on Earth as a French Cook’s daughter with three older brothers and her mother.
She has no memory of her past, another of Boshko’s works. Clair, which is French for Clear, only remembers fragments. These fragments show up in dreams. Clair also has the special ability of seeing into the past, it is uncontrolled and she normally gets pictures of the past in her dreams. That is also how she knows she’s ‘something special’ and how she knows that there is something mysterious about her past.
Clair is also very different from the senshi inside of her. As Sailor Dûment she is fierce, determined, powerful, strong-willed, forceful, bold, courageous, enduring, competitive, resourceful, researcher, an investigator, secretive, mysterious, penetrating, self-reliant, and somewhat introverted or closed. However, as Clair she is practical, responsible, sensible, logical, analytical, a careful planner, precise and punctual, dedicated, perfectionist, critical and health conscious.
She is a very complex person, not only because she and her senshi are so different, but also because she never reveals much about herself. She is somewhat distant of the other scouts. She doesn’t like to be around other people, except of her brothers and her parents.
