xcountry!

this is my page dedicated to xcountry. i am no longer running, but anyway...

hi. i try to run xcountry. i suck. i like to blame it on old age and stress, but i know it's just my own fault for not practicing when i'm supposed to and not studying when i should...

either way, i like it because, for one thing, we have a really nice coach. he doesn't yell at you (well hardly ever) and he lets you leave early if you have to, and he lets you not come to practice if you can't make it, and he won't get mad. you know? not much, but if any of you guys can remember Salagy [sp??], the track&field coach, you will understand me...

either way. this is one of my favorite graphics on my entire page-thing...:

look at that. doesn't it make you want to drool? i'm drooling already. chocolate is my weakness. i gotta have it, dude. it's also what you are not supposed to eat during the xcountry season...or any athletics season...but i eat it anyway. how could i refrain? but yeah, this could explain a few things about me...(high-strung, neurotic person)...

but yeah. another thing i like about xcountry, even if i suck, is the way the team is like a family...or, well, it was in sophomore year. this year, a lot of the old group didn't do it because of work and stress and stuff. but yeah, i want to put a pic of us up...but since i don't have those, i can put up a pic i took in sophomore year...we look funny but i think it's a cute picture...=)

isn't it a funny pic? =) ah..those happy relatively stress-free days...

oh well. so much for that. it was fun, and i do not think i will be doing anything like it again, so...*sniffle* and yeah. us senior jv girls will always remember our trips through time tunnels, our attempt to be the "SCA of time tunnels", the mill creek runs, the stops at mcdonald's, the cramps after jamba juice and noah's bagels, the monte vista incident, strides, our last semi-indian-run where we looked like a bunch of crazies, pixie pals, cheering for other schools,......the list goes on and i'm going to shut up now before i start bawling.

a shout out to all my xcountry girls...tina, helen, fiona, katy, alisa, and everybody who did it sophomore year but not senior year, everyone who did it senior year but not sophomore year, and so on (i know i've forgotten people...what can i say...it's the chocolate deprivation getting to me). i love you guys!

okay...that's all...go away now =)
