Text: A sin that led to sadness or the deep sadness that led to the sin... [I hope I didn't confuse anybody......]

Tsukasa hollers at the top of her lungs. "Don't you be embarrassing Ryuji------!!"

The armed kumiin stare at her in open mouthed shock.

Tsukasa: "No guns! Wasn't that the deal!!? You're putting dirt on Ryuji's face!!"

With that comment, the kumiin all start, realizing what they had done.

Tsukasa: "All of you! Lay your guns on the floor!!"

As one, the kumiin all fall to their knees and smack their weapons onto the floor.

Akira: "You guys too."

The armed GRAVE members start. "!!"

Akira: "I won't hear excuses that you didn't hear the chief's orders." The GRAVE members wilt visibly with shame.

"...No..."

"It's..."

"...Well..."

The kumiin approach Ryuji cautiously.

Kumiin 1: "Sandaime...... We weren't..."

Kumiin 2: "We weren't meaning to embarrass you........."

Ryuji: "...I know."

He ignores them and heads for Tsukasa.

Tsukasa glances at the approaching Ryuji. "...Ryuji."

Ryuji lightly knuckles her on the side of the head.

Tsukasa: "!"

Ryuji: "...You're baka......"

Tsukasa: "......?" She starts, finally understanding what she just did. She looks back in fear at the Kuryugumi members assembled behind her. The kumiin are whispering amongst themselves, curiosity evident on their faces.

"...That choice of words......"

"Those words..."

"That voice..."

"The way she hollered......"

"Maybe...!?" {No, it can't be.}

"Perhaps...!?" {But no,}

"Maybe..." {No, it can't be.}

Perhaps......" {But no,}

Tsukasa turns back away from the prying eyes of the kumiin, her face in shock.

Ryuji steps in front of the GRAVE chief. "...While I had said that I would keep my word this happened... Forgive me......"

Chief: "...No... In that case, it's the same here---..." The chief looks shamed. "And on top of that it was one of us (on the police side) who fired first......"

Tsukasa starts. "!!" She speaks up. "Wait!! That's not right!! Occhan!!" [occhan = slang way of saying mister]

The chief looks up in surprise. "...Occhan...?"

Tsukasa, back to her usual speech mode: "He's not a cop."

Chief: "...E...?"

Tsukasa: "He's," {Soryou... ...No...!} "...Mikaidou Shiva------..."

Back at Kuryugumi.

Meiko: "---...E? Did you just say something?"

Looks like she's tending to Shiki's wounds.

Shiki: "...No... It's nothing... ...Just... if the 'kagi' is turned over to the cops then I'm finally released from Garyukai..."

Meiko: "...That's true... ...You're free now ...Shiki-kun."

Shiki's whole upper body seems to be wrapped in layers of gauze.

Meiko: "With that event at Megafloat, the police were able to arrest many of them, and Garyukai's currently missing 'important figure', who's apparently Garyukai's former leader, he hasn't a single person as an ally."

Shiki: {...I'm free... but... I...}

Meiko: "By himself, he can't do anything about the 'kagi' or 'you'." {Since we're taking care of you, everything's perfect ©}

Shiki looks downcast. {---But there's a reason I can't leave Garyukai------...}

A badly beaten young Shiki is held in the arms of an older boy who's dark hair is tied back in a ponytail.

Young Misumi: "...Shiki, you're a strong boy. You tolerated that well--- The scary people are gone no so it's all right if you cry now---..." He smiles down at Shiki.

Shiki: {Misumi---...!!} He thinks for a moment. "...Meiko sensei..."

Meiko is putting away the tools she used to patch up Shiki. "What is it?"

Shiki smiles, with flowers in the background.

Meiko smiles back in return.

Shiki: {------All alone ...still if he's going to go through with his plan, the only place Shiva will show up will be there------!!} "Meiko sensei, do you know where the 'kagi' is going to be presented?"

Back in the huge cruise liner.

Tsukasa stamps her foot in frustration. She suddenly becomes her usual violent self. "Ka---------" She balls up her fists. "Ryuji you boke------!!" Her leg comes shooting out from under the dress.

Ryuji goes flying in the air and the kumiin nearby freak out.

Tsukasa, speaking her usual rough language. "Why the hell did you get this retardedly big ass ship!!? There are so many damn rooms that we have no idea where Gonzaemon's hiding!!"

Text: A search for Mikaidou Shiva by both the police and Kuryugumi.

Cop: "Check from this floor."

Cop: "OK."

Kumiin: "Let's spread out."

Kumiin: "'Kay!"

Cop/Kumiin: "Let's find the guy-- He's going to get away!"

Cop/Kumiin: "As a confirmation, he's 185-187 cm, with black hair that's swept back on the sides."

Kumiin: "Gotcha !"

Ryuji is also fuming a bit: "I have nothing to do with that!! When I told the guy I wanted to rent a ship this is what he sent!!"

There's a small pic of a man who's eyes are blacked out (to hide his identity?) with his fist clenched in pride. "If it's Sandaime's request, naturally we have to send our best ship!!"

Tsukasa is stalking along beside him, a popped vein evident on her face. "...Damn you... That's why I hate these filthy rich people's finances!!" A shadow seems to move towards the stairs and catches Tsukasa's attention.

Tsukasa: "!! ------..." She stares in the direction of the blur.

Two kumiin stop Ryuji. "A! Sandaime!"

Ryuji: "What is it?"

Tsukasa: "..." She had turned as if to speak to Ryuji but he had already stepped beside the kumiin.

Kumiin: "It's about this emergency shelter but... it seems that it has been used quite recently."

Tsukasa turns away and heads for the stairs. "---..." Glancing downwards, she stares at what she sees.

Kali is sitting there calmly at the foot of the stairs, its tail twitching.

Tsukasa follows in silence. "......."

Kali leads her into a huge room.

Tsukasa: "......"

At the sound of a motor, she turns back, only to see the doors slam shut. "A!!"

Shiva: "...So you did come after all---..." [I think I have to start calling him Shiva... You'll understand why soon...]

Looking around wildly, she finally locates the source of the voice. "!! A!! You!!"

Shiva smiles down softly at her from his perch above.

Tsukasa: "Cruel Monster-human!!" [I'm not 100% sure this is what she said......] Her jaw drops and hits the floor as she gapes at him, her finger pointing at him accusingly.

Shiva: "......" {Opening her mouth so much that it hit the floor.} "Well I'll admit to the 'cruel' part but isn't the monster-human is awful...?"

Tsukasa: "Who's the awful one!!? Thanks to you, the relationship between the cops and Kuryugumi is doomed forever!! I knew that you were in the background pulling at the strings but I didn't think you'd step so low that you'd worm your way into the police!!"

Shiva, calmly: "...... This was the only way I could get a hold of the 'kagi' by myself..." {I'm not stupid enough to wage a war against Kuryugumi myself.} "...And... to put pressure on Ouguro to talk about the whereabouts of the 'kagi'---..."

There's a pic of Ouguro sitting up on a hospital bed, looking terrified as Shiva steps before him in a GRAVE uniform.

Tsukasa: {...Ouguro......} "Can someone like you get in that easily......?" {What the hell are the Control Police doing......?}

Shiva: "...Aa... It seems that they think you're one of them if you're wearing the uniform." {They only really know the faces of those they hang out with.} "Actually, when I escaped from Megafloat, I had stolen a uniform from some GRAVE member as a disguise and then..."

In the aftermath of the Megafloat incident.

GRAVE members are scrambling around, trying to organize a search for survivors. Shiva had taken someone's uniform (including his name plates) and was trying to slip away.

Text pointing to Shiva: His hair is tucked in under the jacket collar.

Shiva: "..."

GRAVE member: "Hurry!"

GRAVE member: "Search for any survivors!!"

GRAVE member: "Hey you there!"

Shiva: "!"

GRAVE member: "You're injured!!" {What are you doing!!?} "Hurry up and get into one of the ambulances!!" He yanks on Shiva's arm, dragging him back to the scene.

Shiva: "And so I was dragged to one of the police hospitals and was treated. Thanks to that, my wounds have healed." {I've also changed the data for the GRAVE member I borrowed clothes from to my own so everything's perfect.}

Tsukasa, shaking with anger. "...I swear... Don't you have any pride as a gokudo!!?" {Don't you think it's kakkowarui!?} "You've lost yourself somewhere at the end of the earth!!" [A literal translation gone very wrong... Maybe "You're as low as you can go" is better......?]

Shiva is leaning on the railing, propping his elbow on it. "...I've been indifferent about winning and living from a long time ago." He looks down at her coldly. "The reason I have this (Soryou Misumi's) body is because I was only expected to live to 20 as 'Mikaidou Shiva'---"

Tsukasa: {------...E...?}

Shiva: "All because of an illness where they didn't quite have a cure for."

Tsukasa: {Illness---------...}

Shiva: "...And yet nobody moved for ''Shiva''------..." He begins retelling scenes from his past. "Since Hogou already had a worthy ''successor''. ...Your father..." {...Mikaidou Sou...}

Tsukasa: "That doesn't matter."

Shiva: "...To Hogou, I was a child whose life or death meant nothing......" He smiles.

A scene shows Sou with his shinai surrounded by his parents, Shiva in the background ignored.

Shiva: {It wasn't long before I thought only about winning against my older brother Sou.}

A young Shiva is seen practicing with a shinai, though his breath is laboured.

Shiva: {And still, Sou was above me------}

A young Wakasa looks up from her seat on the lawn. Looks like she's a high school student, as she seems to be wearing a uniform.

Wakasa: "! Shiva!!" She greeted him with a smile.

Shiva: {---Sou took her from me---...}

Shiva: "---Using that as the opportunity, I began my ties with Hogou's arch enemy, Garyukai. ...In order to ruin Hogou."

Tsukasa: "......"

Shiva, as he walks his way down to Tsukasa's level: "To win against Sou------..." {---If Sou claimed the title of the top gokudo in Japan, then I will take the world------...}

Tsukasa remains where she is as Shiva walks up to her. "------..."

Kali trots along at his master's heels.

Tsukasa: "...What about Wakasa------...? Were you planning on killing her......?" {Along with Mikaidou Sou------...?}

Shiva looks at her coldly. "------..."

Words from the past.

Wakasa: "---...I'm a woman who has to protect that woman who's to become Sou-san's seisai so I can never belong to anyone. I promise... No, I vow........."

A picture shows her holding out her pinky finger (presumably to Shiva).

Shiva: {---I loved her so much, I couldn't put it into words.} "...Wakasa became Sou's after all---..." {And I hated her so much for that, I wanted to kill her------...}

Tsukasa suddenly holds out her right fist.

Shiva starts.

Tsukasa takes his hand and places something in his palm. Her omamori is no longer tucked underneath her dress.

Shiva looks down to see an old DVD. "---... ...This..."

Tsukasa: "A DVD Wakasa left for me..."

Shiva stares in surprise.

Tsukasa: "I was thinking that you had to had to watch this...... ...because if I were Wakasa, I would want you to know as well------......"

Back to Ryuji on an upper level of the cruise liner.

Kumiin: "Nothing in the 2nd floor guest rooms."

Kumiin 2: "Nothing here."

Kumiin 3: "Is the guy really still on the ship---!?"

Ryuji: "...Hey. Is aitsu around!!?" [remember, aitsu is that lovely word that can mean both ''he'' or ''she''......]

Kumiin: "No,"

Kumiin 2: "There doesn't seem to be a guy matching that description."

Ryuji: "Not him!! Tsu..." {I'm talking about Tsukasa!!}

The kumiin: "Tsu.........!?" They turn to face him in wonder.

Ryuji: "......! ......It's nothing..." {Carry on.}

He stalks away in a hurry.

Ryuji: {...I swear, where did she go.........!!?} An antenna seems to pop out of his head.

Ryuji: "------......" {...Could it be... that she's with that yaro......!!?}

Tsukasa and Shiva seem to be in an auditorium with a huge movie screen where they are reviewing the DVD. Shiva is seated front centre, Tsukasa is standing at his side.

Wakasa, on the DVD: "--- I slept with Sou because he said that if I did, he'd get over me. That one time that night, I never expected that I'd become pregnant with you. The reason I had you wasn't because I loved you. It was because Sou's seisai wouldn't allow his child to be killed------... I didn't want you------"

Shiva: "---..."

Tsukasa is standing beside him, her arms crossed.

Ikumi: "---Wakasa...!!" {What are you!}

Wakasa: "It's all right!! It's the truth!!"

Shiva: "---..." {---...I can't believe it------... When we met, I knew she was drawn to Sou------... ...And yet...}

Wakasa's words, just moments earlier: "I admired Sou... I respected him... but I didn't love him."

Thoughts are racing through Shiva's mind. {---...She wasn't in love with him---...}

Wakasa: "---Tsukasa, I have to return to Osaka now. So I'll leave this 'kagi' with you." On the screen, she holds up the huge jewel. "This 'kagi' is the reason for the strife between us, the Hogou and a syndicate called Garyukai,"

Tsukasa: "---At this point, where she entrusted me with the kagi, I think she was already planning on not returning."

Wakasa, looking directly at the camera: "---...And this cannot be let out again. That's how important this kagi is. You have Hogou's blood in you. You have an obligation to protect the kagi. I too have an obligation to protect Hogou------... ------...The one who started the fire was a former person of Hogou... Sou's brother---..."

Shiva clenches his fist and glares at the Wakasa on the screen.

Wakasa looks downcast. "...... ...He,"

Shiva: "------..."

Wakasa: "He's the type to drive himself hard------... He only knows how to drive himself to the limits, and torture himself---------... ...He's a man who hates himself------... --... ---I want to help him------ If I can bring him out of his living hell, then ---...it doesn't matter if it costs me my life---..." She smiles, her eyes closed.

Shiva gets out of his seat involuntarily.

Wakasa: "...Because, for the longest time, I... him!"

Suddenly the image blurs out and only static noise is heard.

Shiva stares up longingly at the blank screen.

Tsukasa, looking down: "...... ...It seems that when my protector was sliced through at Niko-Niko Tower, it was damaged------... ...The most important part is now gone but..." She glances up at him. "...Even you can tell...... what Wakasa wanted to tell you, right---------...?"

In front of them, the blank screen and static noise continues.
