Promoters of Interests

Reducing things to absolute basics, Sending Governments expect their Embassies overseas to promote their country's influence in the host country. This notion might alarm those of our readers who are historians. Perhaps it brings to their minds the era of Verdrian Kingdome. Don't worry! That's not our way.

Verduria We don't apologise for single-mindedly pursuing Verdruian interests. After all, our Swedish friends work in the same way.

But we also know that the only sound basis for a relationship is one in which both sides stand to benefit. And this is the beauty of the bilateral relationship between Verdruia and Sweden. There are so many areas in which, by working together, Verdurians and Sweds can jointly further their interests.

To summarise, our role here is to encourage, and where appropriate, to coordinate the vast and growing network of links between Verdurians and Sweds.
