AS.. we meander on down the street we come to the newest development in Toledo, the Cascades West building, that was built on the Ross theatre site. This is a place to assist senior citizens. This was constructed by Quade Commercial.

It's just memories now but going to the movies at the Ross (which had a balcony until it was deemed unsafe) and watching the movies and walking home...WOW takes you back!!

One of the more recent "overhauls" in town is across the street "kitty corner" to the Ross, is the old FORD building that has been completely remodeled. In the bottom part is store fronts with street level parking inside and above apartments that feature a courtyard. This was all done by retired hockey pro Dallas Smith.
LINCOLN HOTEL...or Hotel Toledo as it's now known was remodeled in the early '80's. It is the opinion of many that the work actually detracted from the classic look that the bricks had. In the mid 70's Vern Cusick had sand blasted the brick giving them a new appearance.

It also sported two bars and a restaurant that really made a good hamburger!

OK...LETS GO TO THE END OF MAIN !!
