After graduating from Montana State University (MSU), Bozeman with a BA in Graphics Design,
I married a girl from Great Falls. We had our first child born February 12, 1999, a girl named Terryn Ashley Premo and our second child born July 16, 2001, a girl named Courtlyn Addison Premo. My Dad has traveled to Great Falls in the last few years to visit his grandchildren and is planning another trip to visit them in August 2003
We live in Great Falls, Montana and I used to work for The Buckle,a clothing store in the mall. The Buckle recently opened up a store in Concord, California; see this photo taken by my Dad in June 2003. I am a member of the Montana State Army National
Guard which is in conjuction with the MSU Officers Candidate School (OCS) Program and attended a training session in Georgia; during the training, I
was a Platoon Leader and received several awards and commendations.
My sisters, Jackie and Jeanine, and I were born in Vietnam and attended schools around the world. However, we all graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School (YV) Concord, CA; Jeanine and I attended junior college at Diablo Valley College (DVC) in Pleasant Hill, CA.
I was on the track & field teams at YV, DVC and MSU and I hold the YV record in the 100-HighHurdles(14.2) and DVC records in the 110HighHurdles(14.32) and 400-IntermediateHurdles(51.35); see
the DVC Track & Field Record Board. Also, between YVHS and DVC (1990), I was on an International Sports Tour (IST) that included high school athletes that attended the World Track & Field Championship in Helsinki, Finland and then we competed in the Soviet Union; see the IST Alumni Roster. After receiving a sports scholarship, I went to Montana State University (MSU) in Bozeman, Montana and was on
the MSU Track & Field Team and was the 1995
Big Sky Conference champion in the 400-IntermediateHurdles, see
MSU Track History/Records.
This was something that my Dad recently wrote about my track accomplishments, "I reviewed the entire IST Alumni Roster and found that Robert has the best time in the HighHurdles(14.4) of all USA athletes listed. However, these were not world class athletes as Robert was just below that level. However, I was at several meets in which he did compete against the best in the world. Robert was in the Prefontaine Classic Track Meet held in Eugene and took second in the 110-HighHurdles to Dan Obrien, the world record holder in the decathalon. He also competed in the 400-IntermediateHurdles at a track meet held at San Jose College which was won by the world record holder, Kevin Young. Robert didn't place; however, he was still in the photo I took at the finish line. Needless to say, I am very proud of his accomplishments in track..."
