what should I write here? ok...I'll tell you something about myself. here's something about my background, favorites, relationships, and other things....

My name's Diana Grace, after a radio announcer my mother used to love listening to while she was pregnant with me.
I was born July 29, 1982 in Mother Seton Hospital in Naga City. I was the first child of Daniel and Teresita Portugal, so my aunt supposed I will be the Princess of the household, and so I was nicknamed.
I grew up in the town of Libmanan, Camarines Sur, where I studied until Grade 6 in the local Catholic School run by Dominican Nuns. I spent my first 2 years in highschool at Naga City Science High School, but later I transferred back to Colegio del Santisimo Rosario, my elementary Alma Mater.
I always wanted to be an Architect, and a scriptwriter like my idol, an Uncle who died when I was 7, but then I wasn't accepted at the College of Architecture in UP Diliman, even if I was accepted there, so I settled for BA Comparative Literature, though I haven't the least idea what it is then (well, till now...).

favorites

1. Like anyone, I have diverse tastes. So I wont bother you with all of the vague descriptions of my favorite foods, music, books, etc. etc. I'll just write down things I especially like, in no particular order.
   1. books. anything tastefully written is fine with me. but I also love reading any book that I happen to come across.

2. 2.internet. ever since 4th year high school, I am still addicted to this fascinating innovation. My bf and I even met online.

3. 3. coffee. ever since I could remember, I would not trade it for anything else, even Milo, or Ovaltine, or Coke. I simply love it.

4. 4. food. I love to eat! Chocolates aren't my thing, but I love cakes, I love pastries, I love vegetables cooked in coconut milk. I love Chinese food, esp. siomai. I love chicken. I love grilled food, be it barbecue, tilapia, or chicken.

5. 5. eminem. I don't know what's with this guy, but I simply love him. I know most of his songs by heart. and his face is the last thing I always see before I sleep.

6. 6. singing and playing guitar. though I don't have a nice voice, I don't care. I like to sing while playing the guitar, because...I don't know...

7. 7. Movies. I love watching movies. It transports me to other realms, to other places. It makes me cry, laugh, feel in love, scared, whatever. I especially enjoy watching Star Wars over and over again, and I can't wait for the next (last) sequel...

8. 8. Drawing and the Arts. I stopped drawing since college, but I used to love drawing houses, clothes and other objects. Who would believe me here if I tell them that I used to be a poster making contestant in Elementary? haha. I also read a lot of Art books, and I particularly like Van Gogh. I once copied his Starry Night painting and my boardmates loved it.

9. 9. Cooking. I love staying at home, doing all the housewifely chores, but then again, it's so tiring I don't do it often. Yeah, I am lazy, but I am a homebody. I can cook simple dishes like tinola, sinigang, menudo, etc...I also love to bake! though I don't get the chance nowadays.

10. 10. Clothes. I'm no fashionista, but I love trying on clothes that flatters my form...hehehe! I also design clothes, my gay uncle used to sew them for me. I loved hanging out in his gown shop. I plan to put up one someday.

11. 11. Courtrooms and Laws. I also have a penchant for law. I want to be a lawyer someday, and that's solely because of John Grisham!

12. 12. Sunrise and Sunsets.  how can I explain it? I just love them.

13. 13. Scriptwriting and Acting. I had an uncle who was once a famous scriptwriter when he died suddenly. Since then, I tried to emulate him, and I think I do write a good script...I also want to be a playwright one day...

14. 14. Writing. I love writing! If ever I have extra time, I write a lot of things in my diary, in my blog...sometimes I even write novel-sized love letters for my howe...hihihi

Love and Friendship...

My boyfriend's name is Harvey. He's still a student at UST. We met through chat, and I couldn't be more surprised when we learned that our parents were somehow related. what a small world!
We've been together for 6 months now, and I hope that we will last till our last breaths. I love him so much I could write a whole new website just for him, but for now, I'm not going to do that. yet.
I have 3 bestfriends back at home, named Ava, Christy and Sha-sha. We call ourselves "The Gayuns" (hehe, don't ask me what it is). I met Ava when I transferred back to CSR in my third year in high school, while Christy was my classmate and good friend since elementary. Sha-sha is another story. Our parents were friends, so we knew each other since we were babies.
During Highschool, I was also close to 3 guys who were the class jesters, namely Ryan, Brian and Omar. In the classroom, we would sit together at the back and joke and tell stories even when the teacher is around. I want to quote our class yearbook of my description to let you have a good idea what I am like during Higschool, but then again, it is full of errors and wrong grammars. but what the heck, here it is:

'Multi-talented lass who can be rank [sic] as first if she just strive or if she just wanted [sic]....she is the person [huwhat?!] you find sitting at the back of Omnipotence room. Dianne is often scolded by the teacher for not listening but teacher get tired [sic] because Dianne is still aware what the lessons is [sic] all about.  

now tell me, are they dumb or what?

so much for that...anyways, in college, I entered a regional org for Bicolano students, UP Ibalon, where I found most of my closest friends now. Some of them became my housemates, 3 of them already left, but the remaining ones (including me) still live together, and we have new housemates now. we planned to build a website about our apartment/house...unfortunately, Peachy's computed crashed and now we still can't find time to make a new one.
