This year's Halloween was definitely enjoyable, even with our front-yard-only-haunt status. I've gotten the 2002 photo gallery up and it's 98% functional. A few links going a stray, but I'm looking to fix those in the coming days. Ultimately, this new gallery format will be easier to navigate Tombsely's photos online. I was surprised how many of our trick-or-treaters commented on the lack of our walk-through. T'was not meant to be for 2002. Next year will be much easier since Halloween falls on a Friday. My backyard boys and ghouls should find it less of a challenge to come by to lend me a hand. So, never fear (did *I* just write that?!), we'll have to cook up something cool to scare the neighborhood with! I did have the good fortune to go to Knott's and Scandia's haunts this year and hope to have some reviews up in a little while. Cruise back by in a couple of weeks to hear all about what I thought, hehe... Til next time... Unpleasant Dreams... 11-2-02

Forgive me for not updating this site earlier! I've gotten a few emails about what's going on with Tombsely this year, and it's high time I gave you the latest news! Due to some forces beyond my control, namely that all of my "monsters" have midterms or jobs--Tombsely the House of Terror will only have a front yard display for 2002. Don't worry, there will still be lots of the usual spookyness and plenty of candy. ;) I hope that you'll still make it by to see the graveyard. Sure to be lots of fun! 10-23-02 |

Well, another Halloween has come and past. I would like to say that it was our most successful one yet, but alas, with the news telling trick-or-treaters to stay home and people just feeling sort of "un-festive" anyway--it wasn't as good as it should have been. Our decorations were the best that they have ever been and we were able to get it all up and finished before it really got dark! It looked terrorific! And so I'm happy about that. But, the numbers out on Halloween night simply were not what they should have been. In years past, we had between 300-400 to take a tour of the haunt. This year, we *barely* cleared 100-150. Our monsters grew pretty restless, and we even closed up at 8:30pm!!! Oh, the horror... I give a very gracious thank you to all who help with set up (I'll probably even do a thank you page here on the site) and to those of you who visited Tombsely on Halloween. Stop by and see the photos though. I have lots of photos of things this year, less of people. During the moment, I always seem to forget to take pictures of something! Love to hear what you think of them, or to hear of your Halloween experiences this year. 11-14-01 |

I didn't want to be lagging behind with all of my online Halloween activities, but time's running close, and I'm beginning the major set up for Tombsely this weekend. Since the 10th, I've had the opportunity to visit several more haunts and will have reviews of all of them before long... That list includes: Disney's "Haunted Mansion Holiday" - the "Haunted Trail" in Riverside, CA - Scandia's Haunt 2001 (Ontario, CA) - & Delmar Fairground's "Scream Zone". Yes, I have been a busy ghoul, er, I mean girl touring all of these many haunts. My review of the Haunted Hotel and Frightmare on Market Street is up here should you care to read about my experiences there. Season's Screamings everyone, if I don't make it back in here--Have a safe Halloween. We hope to see and scare you at our house this year!!! |

I just finished up my review page for Knott's Scary Farm's 29th Annual Halloween Haunt, so check it out here to see a few photos of their monsters and hear what I had to say about it! It *was pretty cool* and I'm glad that I went. Also in news, I'm working on the Reviews area here at Tombsely and hope to have the Sounds/Cds page up and working in a few more days. The same goes for the fog machine page. And, of course as the actual home haunt is concerned, I'm working on it too. I'm just about finished with the black paint on our new coffin. 10-10-01 |

It's still only August, but I can now see some signs of Halloween's arrival!!! JoAnn's (I think that's the name, I'll check to be sure) which is a chain of sewing/craft supply stores has just started putting out their Halloween merchandise! Whoo-hoo! So, I'll probably be stopping by... I won a fog machine on eBay for a pretty good price, so if you're looking for one, now's as good a time as any! Today I'll be adding some links to the links page here at Tombsely, so stop by and see where I think you should go next! 8-9-01 |

I've put in the text for the photos on our Halloween 2000 page and will be doing the same for 1999 shortly--Enjoy the photos!
I'm also now a part of the splendidly halloweeny webring "Halloween Lives Here"--catch the navigation bar on the home page to see some other festive sites! 7-16-01 |

As you can see, this website is undergoing a complete over-haul. I wanted something a little more surfer friendly and wanted to offer more, so here I am laboring away on this my labor of love! As more news developes, I'll offer it up on this page. 6-24-01 |
