 This picture at left shows my parents standing near a statue of FDR in his wheelchair. Roosevelt designed his wheelchair himself, using a kitchen chair, two bicycle wheels, and two tricycle wheels. As shown in the detail of Roosevelt's hand above, the body of the statue shown at left has an unusual, almost unfinished texture. My parents didn't care for it; I rather liked it. |
