Well her in Lubbock Texas is everything like a VERY good dream, except when I hit myself it hurts. I would say that the people of Texas is the kindest I have met outside Denmark, they do everything to make me feel like I was at home, and it works very well. I have been so lusky with my hostfamily (Dick & Becky Larson). They are so much like I`m. My dad has such a good humor, and lot's of it that's for sure. He is retired from the military and have a lot of good storyes from that time (in Vietnam, Germany and most over The United States) When I left Denmark I knew that my mom worked for YFU (see more about it click here) I thourght that she would have me be home at 12 p.m., but that is not the situation at all. Because she is working for YFU we often have other exchange students living with us. First there were a French boy(not more than a week or so). Than a we got Yasuhito Arimoto, form Japan. He stayed with us for two month or so, and we decame very good friends. I also lived together with a Brasilien, two Germans, Albanien and after Christmas I`m probably going to live together with a guy from Chile. I love my Danish mom, but if I had to pick a new one there would be no doubt about picking Becky. She is also retired form the military, and works now as a substitution teacher. My parents are lutherans and that is pretty rare in this area. Around Lubbock is called the bible belt because people around here are so religius compared to Denmark. Sometimes it is to much when they in some of the other churches (baptist, church of christ and so on) say that if you want to be a christian you can't listen to Rock music or watch action movies, but otherwise I just take it as a new experience. My high school is about five times bigger than the one I attended back in Denmark (about 2500). It takes about ten minutes to run fro the one end to the other and we only got six minutes to get from one class to the next, so it can get pretty close sometimes. The school system itself in America is a lot harder than in Denmark. You get send to the detention if you come to late for a class more than twice in one semester. A good thing it is not like that in Denmark. But the education level is generally lower, even though you can get classes that is harder, but not many does that. Right now I`m taking English, Speech, Math, Journalism, U.S. History, U.S. Government and (soccer every day). My day is from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. And then most the time the rest of the day goes with homework.

My Family travels a lot, which I love because then I see as much as the States as possible. Right after I came (August 12th) we went to San Antonio, north of Lubbock, to visit one of my hostparents chrildren. That was a lot of fun. We went to some thing called the "River Walk". It is two streets only with shops and restaurants on each side of a river. We also went up to a TALL tower called Tower of America, with view over the whole city of San Antonio.
