Team History

IVER HEATH YOUTH F.C.
FOUNDED 2005
The new football club that is Iver Heath Youth was formed early this year
centred around the team that was Iver Minors ‘Rockets’, playing in the Slough Soccer Combination over the
last two seasons.
The frustrations of being ‘the forgotten team’ led to the formation of the new club with players parents
taking up the roles within a committee in an effort to improve the performance of some promising young players
by providing the right equipment and environment to play football at junior level.
With parents of the original team unanimously in favour of the new venture, a committee of 8 formed,
led by James Cole as Chairman.
Officially born early in 2005 our principle sponsor, EKA Surfacing,
was quickly established to provide a sound financial footing for the club, allowing us to apply for county
affiliation to the Bucks and Berks F.A. and to register with
the Slough Soccer Combination for the season 2005/2006.
Monthly committee meetings are held with recorded minutes that are available for all members of the club
to view ensuring complete visibility of the running of the club in all aspects.
To date the committee of James Cole, Lisa Rolfe, Alan Aldridge, Kevin Clarke,
Tony Bishop, Mick Rolfe and Ricky Aldridge have placed the club in a sound financial situation
while providing new kit for the forthcoming season and securing the facilities at
Iver Heath Recreation Ground for the club.
The focus on continued improvement of the club, on and off the pitch, has meant Ricky holds two training
sessions per week concentrating on fitness and football skills, on both grass and artificial surfaces during
the winter periods.
An important aspect of Iver Heath Youth is the discipline of its
representatives including players, officers and our supporters hence the code of conduct that we as a club
have adopted in line with the official code published by the Football Association.
Iver Heath Youth Football club has a zero tolerance policy on issues relating
to racial and sexual discrimination.
We have an ambition to see the club progress into a larger organisation with teams represented in all age
groups and if possible be successful on the pitch, rewarded by trophies in the club house cabinet.
Most of all we want Iver Heath Youth footballers to enjoy football
and play to the best of their ability and to have fun doing so.
