Copy files to cd by microsoft

Windows xp has a cdburn program built in. Your PC must have a CD burner hardware to utilize this program. Just cut and paste into the CD folder and click "Write these files to CD" on the top left of corner of the cd folder windows. Maintenance task that improve performance

  • Uninstall unused software programs will free up disk space and memory usage.
  • Install antispyware programs. Spyware programs install itself in your pc and is used to send information to the author. You need a good antisyware to rid of these nuisance spywares. One of the most popular antispyware is adaware by Lavasoft.

    Clear the temporary folders

    Some temporary files created by programs when you use the PC need to be cleared from time to time. Windows has such a tool built in. Go to Start - programs - Accessories -System tools Disk Cleanup. Run this program weekly wiil help to improve PC performance.

    Disk Defragmentation

    After a period of running, the computer will build up fragmented files. This will slow down the rate at which the CPU access the files. To run this program, Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter. Depending on the condition of your files, the process make take up to several hours to complete. Probably run it overnight will be a good idea.
