Tony Mygatt
(916) 933-3926

Tony Mygatt has been creating exquisite pottery and stoneware for the past 20 years, ranging from elaborate pieces of decorative art to functional stoneware.

A native of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Tony was raised in a culture surrounded by Southwest Native American influences.

In his early years, Tony’s first artistic impressions were formed while living in an adobe home filled with southwestern artifacts. These impressions were accentuated during the times he visited family friends who lived in the Taos Pueblo.

The shapes of Tony’s pottery are influenced by the simple but elegant water and grain vessels of Southwestern Native Americans.

While in college, Tony learned the art of Raku, an ancient Japanese glazing and firing technique. Tony combined this ancient art technique with southwestern style to form his own artistic vision and unique pottery designs.

Tony's elegant pottery is proudly displayed in homes and galleries throughout the western states.

Tony resides on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in El Dorado Hills, California. He is a graduate of Ca Poly, San Louis Obispo, with a degree in landscape design, and a minor in art. He owns Outdoor Visions Landscaping, a successful landscape design company.
