On this page from time to time I'll post some of the
projects I am currently developing. The covers displayed are just for appearance
and are not in any way the intended covers for the works. As projects are
completed they'll vanish and new ones will appear. At least that's the theory...
Adam
is the working title of a manuscript for a teenage novel currently under editing
and contract with HarperCollins for 2003. Set in South Australia near Tailem
Bend, Adam is the story of a 15 year old boy whose life is changed because
of his relationship with two new kids at his school, a brother and sister, and
because his friends and he stumble upon a marijuana plantation in the bush that
almost costs them their lives...
In
My Father's Shadow is the working title of a novel I'm currently writing
as part of a PhD study considering aspects of censorship of teenage novels.
Exploring the relationships between three generations of men and boys, it's
the story of Joshua's struggle to come to terms with a variety of relationships
in his family and in his wider life as he unravels a mystery concerning the
unsolved murder of a boy his own age almost thirty years beforehand.
Freedom
is the third book in the Ashuak Chronicles. It draws together the threads from
Books One and Two where the lives of Shana, Alwyn and Sukaal are on collision
course with the great Dragonkin's aims to repossess the Genesis Stone from their
ancient enemy the Alfyn. Against the tapestry of the Jaru fight for freedom
from the oppressive Ashuak Empire, the Dragonkin move in for the kill. Due June
2003.
