Your Hit Points (or "How Was I Suppose to Know it was Dynamite?") |
Your Hit Points represent how much damage your character can take before he Falls Down. What does it mean to Fall Down? Did you ever see Wile E. Coyote fall victim to one of his own schemes? Well, what was left of him after the truck or fireworks got to him is what happens when you Fall Down. It is as close to dying as a Toon gets. When you fall down, you are out of the game for three minutes (under the basic rules). An optional rule is that you're out for three Actions (three turns), which seems to work better. To get your free Hit Points, yes, I said FREE, just roll 1 die (six sided as usual) and add the randomly revealed number to 6. Usually the most Hit Points you can get is 12, but the Animator can create things with more or less as he chooses (a gnat might have 1, but an Atomic Moster from Below might have as many as 100). You might also be allowed to buy extra Hit Points from the Animator for 2 points each, but we'll get to Points later. Cream Pie Edition Rules suggest Hit Points to be equal to your MUSCLE + 6 (as bigger things usually take more damage before Falling Down). Extra Hit Points can be bought for 2 Shtick Points each. |
