The Canada Wide Science Fair is an event held yearly where the most elite science fair projects in Canada compete at a national level. The event lasts a week, and it gives participants the ability to experience real science first hand, as well as meet and network with people from across Canada. This year, the Canada Wide Science Fair was held in Kingston, Ontario, on the picturesque campus of Queen's University. This 7 day event took, literally, years of preparation, and was an incredible success. Over 450 participants came to Kingston to exhibit their projects, and compete at this elite level. The projects were impressive to say the least. Team Toronto consisted of 30 exhibitors and 4 Chaperones. Arriving on Sunday and leaving on the Saturday, Team Toronto represented their city with a great deal of poise and elegance. Sticking together through the entire event, all members of the team left Kingston changed people. From the late night chats to the proud flag bearing, we bonded together in a way that will affect us forever. There was something about the week; possibly the great organization by the host committee, possibly the beautiful Queen's Campus, or the excellent food on the menu each meal, or maybe all of these together that made the week perfect. Team Toronto would like to thank the CWSF 2001 Organizing Committee and YSF Canada for allowing us this experience. We've left changed people, and you are to thank. Thank you. |
