Our fourth meeting occurred in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Tiffany joined
my family and I for my graduation at Oregon Tech. Tiffany flew in on
Thursday, June 14, 2001 (a little late, but she finally got there).
Terry came to the airport with me, and we met up with her. As always,
it was wonderful to see her again and to be in her arms. Each time we
see each other, it gets better and better, and it gets closer to the
day when we will finally be (permanently) together and won't have to
part. Hopefully that will come true in January of 2002.
In Klamath Falls, Terry and Amy were kind enough to open their doors
and let us stay with them. It was nice to have a house to stay in.
They left on Sunday, leaving Tiffany and I with a house to ourselves
for 3 days (more like 2 days) and 2 nights. That was awesome. Thanks
again, Terry and Amy, for lending us the place.
There were lots to do in preparation for graduation on Friday, but it
all turned out okay. Prior to graduation rehearsal, Tiffany and I
went to a BBQ and joined several other graduates. During rehearsal,
Tiffany chilled out in my dorm room. Later that night, Tiffany, my
family, and Terry went out to eat at Dynasty Restaurant for dinner.
Then, the big day came. Time for GRADUATION! We all had an early
breakfast at the Shilo Inn. After that, I headed on up to the school
in preparation for the ceremony. Graduation turned out awesome. It
was so nice to have my whole family there and to have Tiffany there
to celebrate too. I appreciated everyone who took the time and effort
to attend. It was a bit too hot sittin' out in the sun, but it was all
good. Shortly after graduation, I finally met up with my family and we
all got together, BS'd, and took pictures and such. Then, I finished
moving all my stuff out of my dorm room and checked out. After that,
Tiffany and I attended Dusty's grad party at Mia & Pia's.
During our stay in Oregon, we also took a couple of road trips.
Tiffany and my family, along with Terry and Amy, took a trip up to
Crater Lake on that Saturday afternoon following graduation and Dusty's
party. Crater Lake was awesome, as usual. Although a bit late (because
of an accident on Highway 97 on the way back), we had a nice dinner at
the Shilo Inn restaurant on Saturday night. Again, Tiffany and my
whole family was there, including Joe and Alisha and Terry and Amy.
Then, all three couples went over to chill at Terry and Amy's house
after dinner.
On Sunday, Tiffany, my mom, and my sisters took a trip to Medford,
where we visited the Oregon Vortex (in Gold Hill). We also went
shopping at the Rogue Valley Mall. On Sunday night, we all went
out to eat at Applebee's. After dinner, we chilled out at the Shilo
Inn (swimming and hot-tubbing), and chilled up in the hotel room too
(we watched some video footage from Maui on TJ's camcorder). Then,
after a quick breakfast at McDonald's on Monday morning, my mom and
sisters departed, leaving Tiffany and I with time to ourselves.
We got to spend personal time together, which was very nice. I had
to drop off some boxes (at Mailboxes Etc) to mail to my California
address. Tiffany and I had smoothies together at Quackenbush (and
we did a lot of playin' and horsin' around there too!). I also gave
Tiffany a tour of the OIT campus that afternoon, and we hit the Paper
Owl bookstore too. But something I'll never forget is the romantic
spaghetti dinner that Tiffany cooked up for me that Monday night.
We had a nice candlelight dinner next to the window at home. Tiffany
even drank some wine too. In my eyes, it was a perfect dinner, just
because Tiffany cooked it and it was filled with her love. Then,
after some cleaning up and doing some chores, we watched, "What Women
Want" on video. Tiffany fell asleep on my lap within a few minutes
of the movie, so she decided to just go to bed (we didn't finish the
movie). I didn't fall asleep right away though, but instead, I
finished up some chores. I also watched Tiffany sleep for a while.
It was so peaceful and even brought tears to my eyes while I watched
her sleep. A lot went through my mind about our future together too.
It was awesome.
Upon waking up on Tuesday morning (June 19, 2001), we headed to the
airport. After having breakfast there, we both departed, on the
same flight, to Portland, Oregon. In Portland, we had to say goodbye,
as she flew to Detroit and I flew to San Jose. It was hard to part
from each other, but yet, it happened so fast. So until we meet
again next time...I'll be right here waiting.
