U.N. International Day of People With Disabilities at the C.N.I.B. Centre, Dec. 4, 2006

Follow-up news to March 23 suggested that Canada might yet sign on to the United Nations convention on the rights of people with disabilities.

In the end, this
did in fact happen on March 30, although only the media were invited. We haven't heard anything since.

This year's observations were held at Variety Village on December 3. On the same day the University of Minnesota apparently launched an advocacy manual re: the U.N. convention - notes to be posted
