Yup. I do have obsessions. But the strangest thing in me is the lack of "persistence". I seem to get obsessed with something and then get equally uninterested in it some time later, probably faster than the rate I grew obsessed to it! These are some of them:

Greek Mythology: Two factors lead to this sudden interest. Release of Age of Mythology by Microsoft and repeated telecasts in all the television channels of the ruins of Greece (mainly the Parthenon in the acropolis) in the build-up to the Olympic games. there are hell a lot of resources in the net about these and you should be able to find some in my favourites!

Algorithms: Aren't these the pivotal blocks of any programmer's excellence? I strongly feel the answer is yes and I (suddenly) wanto to try to understand all the complexity in them. Right now going through Cormen's Introduction to Algorithms. Est-ce que mais pourquoi c'énuméré est sous des "hantises"?

DirectX 9.0b: The latest version of DirectX by Microsoft. Ever since the release of DirectX 9.0, MS has opened out the DirectX world for its .Net users. Yes. DirectX is now "managed" DirectX. So you can bask under the knowledge of C# and write some real cool programs for graphics. Actually picked up interest in this from my X roomie T.S.Karthik who has some cool things. Check out his site!

Fractals: Was actively involved in developing a "Mandelbrot explorer" during my college days. [Alas! Do not have the 'C' code now!]. It suffered from performance issues, though!

Romans: Really was enthralled by the mystique surrounding the Roman civilization when I was in the UK and I bet there are very few better places to learn about the Roman civilization than those maintained by Brits.

Indian History: Did the mystic Aryans invade India from lands yonder? What lead to the decline of the Indus-Valley civilisation? What is the cause of the dark age of Indian literature? Am seeking answers for these questions. Most of the web-pages are biased and often the webmasters end up in heated debates with somebody. Hence I prefer hard-prints :) .
