[Dec 21, 2004] Bought an LG G1500 mobile phone last Sunday. Feel that it has some real kewl features for the price. Also got a BSNL prepaid connection which gives you talk-time of 3050/-. Mobile number available on request.

[Dec 13, 2004] I just finished reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This Pulitzer-award winning novel written in 1960 is about a small Alabama girl "growing up". It goes to the roots of human emotions and excellently depicts a typical child's struggle in "coming to terms" with hard realities of the world. Also started reading "Future Shock" by Alvin Toffler. You can check my blog here on the demise of MS

[Dec 8, 2004] Downloaded the beta version of .Net 2005 (codenamed "Whidbey"). The C#  IDE has a new project template to create screensavers. I tried the sample code that accepted an RSS feed and it was real cool. Screensavers showing you prices of the scrips in your portfolio can be cool, can't they (especially in a company like ours where you have two machines per head)? By the way, this seems to be a good RSS reader, just in case you haven't heard about it before.

[Oct 28, 2004] India’s first MMOG Ragnarok is rocking! The publishers level up games have had a huge success and the Beta is still on. So you can order you own FREE copy of the CD from their site and start playing with thousands of other users. Have ordered for a CD and waiting for it to be delivered.

[Sep 9, 2004] Finished the Da Vinci code around a couple of weeks ago. I would highly recommend you to start reading the book when you have a full free day. That book, as aptly described by New York Times, is "Unputdownable"!

[Aug 9, 2004] Mmm. Heard about "Da Vinci Code" by "Dan Brown". Yeah...yeah..agree that it's almost an year since it has been released. But I haven't read that yet. Trying to get a copy!

[Jul 30, 2004] I just found this site which almost has all the books online that you would like to fill your shelves with. With an assortment  of works by many famous people, this site can keep you entertained for months! By the way, we have a Quiz today in our office.

After a couple of hours of splitting headache in a movie-theatre-turned-torture-cell where I happened see this infernal movie called Julie, I have just stopped short of starting a movement against it and any other of the same genre to follow. Abysmally low acting skills coupled with a total lack of direction "murdered" the movie. It's indeed sad to note that the leitmotif of the present day cinema has moved from love to extra-marital love!

SharpDevelop has entered RC stage! The product has certainly evolved a lot. More on this when I am able to use it more. (Right now am still stuck with VS .Net).

[Jun 16, 2004] Finished with "Snapshots From Hell: The making of an MBA". Wow! I liked it! Pete is especially good in recounting all the moments with his "non-poet" friends!

Tell you what! The roadside stalls in the M. G. Road here in Bangalore have some real cool books. My friend got a collection of around 180 short stories of O.Henry for about as many rupees!

[Jun 5, 2004] Started reading Wealth Of Nations by Adam Smith. Wow! seems to be a pretty nice book. Well, after all it wouldn't have been hailed as the bible of Economics otherwise.

[May 27, 2004] Done with Wodehouse's "Right Ho, Jeeves" & "A Pelican at Blandings". Just got a copy of "Snapshots From Hell: The making of an MBA" by Peter Robinson, a Stanford graduate. Discontinued Nirad. C. Chaudhuri's "Hinduism - A religion to live by". The author seemed to thrust more of personal opinions than factual details and the final WTF occurred to me halfway through the second part of the book. Pshaw! One of those books I'd hate to read any time.

[Apr 1, 2004] April Fool! Well. That's what I felt like once I finished the 5th and the last available of the Harry Potter novels. Didn't feel that the story has advanced a wee bit from where it ended in the 4th part.

Finished "Girl In Blue". Currently reading Nirad. C. Chaudhuri's "Hinduism - A religion to live by". Feel that it is slightly slanderous. If you have any comments, please post it in my guestbook.

[Mar 09, 2004] Wow! The wedding bells are ringing and a couple of my cousins are getting married. Aravind ties the knot  on the 3rd of May and Charu's wedding's on the 21st.

Currently reading P.G.Wodehouse's "Girl In Blue". One thing that I have grown quite accustomed to is Wodehouse making at least one of his characters fumble for words in almost all of his novels. In "Blandings Omnibus", it was Lord Emerson or his son and in "Girl in Blue", its Chippendale! "Cor!" That's boiler-plate stuff.

[Dec 05, 2003] Microsoft is developing the next generation technology, named Longhorn. Looks exciting as it aims at reducing the development effort needed for different kinds of deployments. Read the FAQ about it here.

[Oct 10, 2003] Phew! At long last I have spruced up my web-site. Did a lot of purging and did away with lots of jargons :o. Hope that it is at least worth a look now <grin>.

[Jul 23, 2003] The next major release of Sharpdevelop is out!! Sports a largely improved forms designer now. Still lacks support for VB.Net but these cool chaps have taken open source development with Microsoft to a new degree. Cheers!!

[Apr 16, 2003] Left Torry Harris and joined Pivotal

[Dec 24, 2002] Home sweet home. Returned from the UK. Was there for developing a payroll application for an UK based company called Intex.
