The Webb family got its start on December 18, 1993,which is when I married my husband, Keith. We practiced our love and parenting skills on our two dogs, Buck and Ruby, for several years before we decided we were ready for the real thing. Actually, God decided. We tried for almost a year to conceive. Our son, Daniel, transformed us from just a couple into a true family when he arrived on Leap Year Day (February 29) 1996 after twenty-four hours of labor and almost three hours of pushing (He was a posterior presentation). Our daughter, Hannah Grace, was born on New Year's Day 1999. We were sadly disappointed when, after 33 hours of exhausting labor (I had a stubborn cervical lip that did not want to dilate.) we transported to the hospital for medical pain relief. We had dreams of a beautiful home birth with Dad catching the baby. However, our daughter is no less wonderful because she was born in a hospital. Number three, Silas Joel, arrived into his Daddy's loving hands on July 24, 2001. He was born without any medical assistance, in his own home, surrounded only by his family.
We live in the country and love the serenity and quiet. Our children love to get dirty, catch bugs, watch birds, pick flowers, and spend lots of time outside. Right now four dogs, two cats, and two box turtles are also a part of our family. It seems we are always rescuing stray animals and attempting to find them loving homes. Anybody out there want a dog?
