This is my opinion on violence at this time

I really don't believe that I have anything to prove in front of a bunch of strangers and If I have any trouble when I'm out I'll walk away without any shame. I honestly think that if you're carefull and avoid trouble then 80% of the time you wont end up in a situation where you have no other choice.
I havn't been in many 'street fights'...never taken a real beating, maybe that'd change my mind. I like Taylor's story about Reubinskis where three guys started on him and a friend. He's had his jaw broken before and now doesn't believe in waiting for the fight to start - he takes the initiative. So he elbowed one guy in the face and knocked him out and then ran at the other grabbing his eyes and running his head into the wall. The third guy looked at his friends - one on the floor unconscious and the other holding his eyes and in obvious agony and decided not to take the fight any further.
The moral of the story? - Taylor walked away unhurt...but only just. They followed him out of the club afterwards and were going to mess him up outside and he had to resort to threatening them with a bottle.
Draw your own conclusions.

If I got forced into a street fight, I'd like to think I'd be able to handle pretty much anyone untrained if it was one-on-one (how many 'but only if's do you want to add to that 'street fight' Ben?). I hope I'd have the balls to jab the eyes and claw his throat, viscious techniques that are undoubtabley effective.
But in the 'real world' I don't think you've got a chance if you get in a 'real street fight' - he's always got friends and I believe that no matter how good you are, you will ALWAYS loose to the numbers no matter how hard you are if there are enough of them they will win. I think that the psychological battle is half the fight, if you are prepared to go a step further than the other guy. I found this out first hand with a bunch of scally kids.
IF you can take all them..the next time you're out if he's sees you before you see him....
Machiavelli said - Men must be either pampered or crushed because a man will seek revenge for a small injury but never from a greivous one. My friend said he'd rather fight with a barister than a guy on the street.

I think only nieve people believe the world can ever be completly peacefull. It's the nature of society to create situations where individuals are oppressed.
An end to world peace? Do you want to ban religion..
