Synopsis: In the year 2157, Space Cabby picks up a fare who asks to go to Marsopolis...in the year 2233. Space Cabby laughs at the idea, but humors the man, who identifies himself as Professor John Xavier. and heads to Marsopolis. As he's driving, Professor Xavier operates an odd device. When they land on Marsopolis, the professor pays Space Cabby double the usual fare, which causes Space Cabby to laugh again...until he realizes that they actually are in the future, and that the professor's device had indeed caused them to travel through time. Space Cabby then remembers a fiction program he had recently seen, in which crooks commit a crime in the future and escape to the past, and speculates that that's what the professor is doing. But when he seeks to warn someone, he discovers that he can't make contact with anyone there...he's immaterial. Space Cabby decides that the professor must have created a device to circumvent the problem, and that he'd have to appregend the professor himself, since he can't warn the police. Space Cabby searches for the professor at likely targets for theft, but is unable to find him. At one point, though, Space Cabby trips over a bomb-like object, and he realizes that it must be from 2157...and must be what the professor is searching for. He loads the object into his cab and then looks for and finds Professor Xavier, who explains that he had invented the bomb, but accidentally tripped the fuse, and when he tried to send it into outer space with a teleport ray, he instead sent it through time by accident. He assures Space Cabby that the time-travel rays will soon wear off and when they do, Space Cabby and the professor let the bomb go in space. Space Cabby then asks the professor what was the concern, as the bomb couldn't have hurt anything if it exploded in the future, where nothing from the present was solid. The professor points out that before exploding, the bomb would have returned to the present and to Earth, destroying everything on the planet.

Notes: The present parts of the story take place in 2157, and the future parts take place on May 12, 2233.
