Who are the Star Rovers? That's just the sort of question that would have been the title of one of their adventures. Novelist and sportsman Homer Glint, sharpshooter and beauty queen Karel Sorensen and playboy athlete Rick Purvis are friendly rivals in the 22nd century. Rich enough to own private spacecraft, they use their resources to answer puzzling questions and to serve their home planet. But somehow, despite the fact that they compete with each other for those prized answers (working cooperatively only on rare occasions), none of the three ever fully achieves victory on his or her own efforts, but rather, the three of them only arrive at a complete understanding of their situation after comparing their individual adventures together amongst themselves!
