Going, Going, Gone...

1969 Gibson SG with stock pickups , Marshall amp with lots of midrange distortion and overdrive, extremely loud volume, and Bill Metoyer at the console. Result - the thickest guitar sound of any Tourniquet song.
The middle instrumental break is kind of disgusting sounding. It repeats with 2 octaves added - making a total of 3 octaves (and no harmony). The octaves are acquired by using a Digitech Whammy Pedal with octave splitter.
There are guitar induced "elephant sounds" during the first chorus before the vocals come in (low in the mix).
The drums used are only the lowest toms. The cymbals used are only the largest, including a 24" crash/ride used during much of the song.
