My opinion of the album:
Thank you Ted for sending me a copy of this cd for free. And thank you
for signing it. YOU ARE AWESOME!!
Well, every time you turn on a new Tourniquet cd you
know you're going to get awesome metal with amazing
lyrics. But for this one many were worried about
whether they'd be as good as they were before. With
the loss of co-founding member Gary (been with the
group from the beginning) and long-time member Victor
(joined them on their 2nd album), some were worried
that this album wouldn't measure up to their former
efforts. I, on the other hand, knew that there was
nothing to fear. As long as Ted's AMAZING drumming
and Luke's awesome vocals were present there was
nothing to fear. Tourniquet would still kick just
as hard as before.
I knew it would be a Tourniquet album (every album is a
classic). But beyond that I really didn't have a full
grasp of what to expect. Their last full album was a
departure from their previous efforts, so I didn't
know whether the loss of two members would cause them
to depart from their sound to create a new one. So
when I put in the cd I wasn't quite sure what I'd
hear.
I was not "let down" but I was disapointed with this album.
I will not put it down as many have; it is a Tourniquet
album full of awesome songs! However, I will suffice it to say that I
didn't like it near as much as their previous efforts. They quite
redeemed themselves with their next album, though...
