While toeing the line that other masturbators have set by giving a half-assed attempt to look like female genitalia, Devon's Private Pleasures is unlike most in that it doesn't attempt to feel anything like female genitalia.

Devon's "entry tunnels" are lined with hundreds of tiny ridges that encircle the inside of the opening down its entire length -- kind of like the threading inside a screw hole. These ridges provide unbelievable stimulation. This results in two things: one bad, one good. The bad result is that you really can't use Devon more than once or twice a day and for no more than 15 minutes at a stretch, unless you want to be seriously chafed. The good result from the ridges is that the orgasm you have will be the most intense you've ever felt. Our testors actually had such intense climaxes that they had to lie down and rest for a few minutes after each use. No kidding.

Devon is not made from Cyberskin but rather another proprietary brand of synthetic skin called "Soft Touch." It is firmer and not as realistic as Cyberskin. However, it seems to be much more durable and dense than Cyberskin and could probably last indefinitely under even the heaviest of use, while Cyberskin requires much upkeep or else it fails in time.

Though Devon does not have an enlarged front part like Hustler's Pocket Pal, it still can be placed between two pillows or between a box spring and mattress for hands-free operation.

Devon has two entry holes, each only about 1/4-inch in diameter. One represents a "vagina" and the other an "anal" opening. Both feel exactly the same. The masturbator stretches to accommodate any girth, but the tiny holes make preliminary insertion somewhat difficult until you're used to them. Devon will accommodate up to about a 6.5-inch penis.

On our model, the "vagina" hole went all the way through the masturbator, but the "anal" hole did not. We're not sure if this was a manufacturing error, but it did not seem to affect the product's performance. What it did hinder was after-use cleanup.

One odd result from the closed end of the anal hole was that, if the penis was pushed all the way to the end of the anal tunnel upon climax, orgasms seemed to last forever. We're not quite sure why this happened but we suspect the closed end prevented semen from exiting the penis and for some reason the ejaculatory reflex just kept going and going. Weird, but damn nice.

Overall Impression

Overall, Devon is a solid performer. We like the Hustler Pocket Pal more, simply because we like its realistic Cyberskin feel. But if you're looking for something different, and want extremely intense orgasms, the better bet would be Devon.
