Synopsis

Prisoner, Gabe, discusses a plan with his cellmate and best friend.

Gabe walks for days across varied terrain and up to a local Diner. While there he hears a radio announcement about a prison escape. He runs into a girl hanging a help wanted sign and applies for the job of farmhand.

Three sisters own the farm. The youngest, Joelle, is an ambitious model; Hannah, the oldest, happily runs the farm while the middle sister, Cynthia, works in the city to provide the financial support to keep the farm running.

When Hannah interviews Gabe, their infatuation begins. Unfortunately, Joelle has her eyes on Gabe as well. He rebuffs her attempts at seduction and begins a gentle wooing of Hannah.

Gabe and Hannah go to town where Gabe uses an ATM machine and buys painting supplies. When they get back Hannah discovers the bank receipt for over $10,000 and begins to wonder about where Gabe came from.

Hannah’s teaches Gabe about life as a farmhand and their friendship grows. Soon they are alone at dinnertime. She draws him out and they talk about the defining moments of their lives. She probes too deeply and Gabe draws back.

Over the next few days the sexual attraction grows, Hannah finally kisses Gabe. They eventually find their way into her bedroom. Gabe confesses his prison time and unsavory past; he is overwhelmed when Hannah accepts him anyway. In the middle of the night he paints a poem on Hannah’s bedroom wall as a way of telling her he loves her.

A letter from the prison arrives, informing Gabe of the death of his friend. He is devastated and goes to Hannah. Unfortunately, Cynthia discovers that Gabe was in prison. This, coupled with the recent news reports of an escapee leads her to the conclusion that they have been harboring a fugitive. She calls the police and goes to tell her sister.

Gabe asks Hannah to go with him and they run to a clearing in the woods behind the farm where he tells her about the letter. The police arrive at the farm. Gabe asks her to stay in the clearing while he goes up to explain things. He is just getting cuffed when Hannah screams. He takes off running. The real escapee has her and makes demands of Gabe. Together they defeat him and hand him over to the police.
