January 2004 Journal Entries...

So here comes another installment of my journal.

"Thank you God for people like Monica."

Wow. It's almost been a week since I wrote in this thing. Well, I've been pretty busy this past weekend and the few days of this week. Hopefully that is an excuse. =P

So I think I'm getting a better idea on how to use the libraries that we are using now. It's a lot more fun when you know what you are doing. =P Plus, the contests our group members want us to do are pretty funny! Twinkie eating contest?! Geez!

Saw a bunch of people on Monday. Ate dinner with my partner in crime Chelle. Talked way too much and fell asleep at her apt for 2 hours. Luckily she work me up at around 2:30 AM. Went back to Murrieta. Slept a lil more and then went to work.

I can make notepad the program now. I'm pretty impressed with what I've learned in the past three week. =P Plus, it helps when you get paid to learn something. Haha.

Oh yeah. This past Friday, went to Sherman Oaks. Sushi Mac was a failure. Then to the Galleria. Cheesecake Factory was too long a wait. Then went and got garlic fries in Westwood. Then to Third St. in Santa Monica for Buca's. Yum.

Okay, I think that's it for now. Hopefully you've enjoyed reading this. If not, then too bad! J/K.... or maybe not. =) Take care and God bless. Remember, happiness is a choice you make everyday, so make the right choice. Hope you have chocolate covered gummi bear dreams! =)

So here comes another installment of my journal.

"New Year resolutions are a scam."

I was just reading what I wrote about the last time the New Years came up and that quote up above basically sums it up. There's no point in ranting about it again this year since no one will heed the advice anyways so I'll just let it be.

Well Happy New Year to everyone! It's only the second day of 2004, but I've already wished two people happy birthday (Borracho - Jan. 1 and Monica Jan. 2). Tomorrow, we'll make it 3 for 3 since it's JLo's birthday on the 3rd. What a nice way to start off the year huh? For the rest of you that don't have birthdays yet, hopefully this new year brings you adventures and experiences that you can grow from. Hehe... that's kind of a different kind of blessing, but I figure wishing that you guys are happy and stuff wouldn't work since there's no one who is happy all the time anyways. =P

USC beat up on Michigan in the Rose Bowl. At least they'll have a share of the national title. Sorry for you UCLA fans out there but Cade McNown made me lose all respect for your program. That darn freaking (add as many cuss words that you know right here) excuse for a football player. Grrr.... that guy still makes me mad. Jason Kapono came from that school too so until you draft someone good, no respect for you guys. =)

Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm writing this sucker while I'm at work. Probably should be coding, but this is my little break before going back to the world of programming. Word of advice to most of the CE's who graduated and are looking for a job in programming. Know your shit. There's no slack given if you don't know anything. I'm so serious about that too. Once you get to work, they expect you to be doing things that you were never taught at UCI. Plus, I know how most of you people operate, so while your looking... review please!!! Either that or you might end of like a Lockheed Martin programmer. Trust me... that's not a good thing. =P

After work, I'll be heading over to go pick up some people from the nut and the bar. Then going to the LBC to go get Paolo and we're all heading to 3rd St hopefully if it's not hella raining or anything. If not.. then maybe Sushi Mac, or my buddy is trying to get us to try these garlic fries. I wonder if they'll meet the hype. Hmm... Well it'll be fun whatever happens. =)
