This is a Natural Environment Area with a
great mixture of wide open grass and wooded hard packed trails
 | Basic Conditions:
 | Trailer parking on an open gravel lot.
Plenty of room to turn around and opportunities to back up to grass for loading and
unloading.
|
 | Grass trails are cut in large intersecting
patterns to provide lots of riding time. Perimeter trails connect to wooded areas
for variety. The footing is almost always great although grassy trails can be slick
directly following heavy rain.
|
 | Most trails are out in the open so don't
plan this one for a hot sunny day.

|
 | Potential Hazards:
 | Hikers unfamiliar with horses and the
occasional off-leash dog.
|
 | Trails are not "marked" so it is
possible to get somewhat turned around. Bring your sense of direction or a map!
|
|
 | Rules & Restrictions:
 | Stay on the trail system; do not ride on
hiking-only trail along the lake or creek.
|
 | Hunting is permitted and this is a popular
destination with local hunters.
