Schooley Mill
Up

This is truly an equestrian park!

Basic Conditions:

Accessible trailer parking on a wide gravel lot with a turnaround and striped for trailers

An outdoor sand arena which is usually open and can be reserved for group events

A hunt course with a variety of jumps and a small wooden bridge crossing

4.5 miles of well marked and maintained trails and access to an off-park trail system.     Surface is packed dirt with some areas mulched yearly.  Small areas have course rock to cut down on mud. It is gradually being covered by dirt and mulch.  Wide grass paths connect to trails.

Creek access at several points along the trail.  Creeks can dry up during mid summer droughts.

Restrooms and concession machines (in season) and port-a-johns year round

Potential Hazards:
Hikers with dogs (quite a few off-leash)
Steeper trail has 4x4 timbers at 8 foot intervals to stop erosion. It's safe to navigate, but can trip you if you are not paying attention.
Low sections of the outer trail will remain soggy after heavy rain.
Hunt course jumps are stationary - they do not "give" if you hit them.

Rules & Restrictions:

Park closes at dusk

No Hunting Permitted
