NCCI: NORTH CRIPPLE CREEK INDUSTRIES
NCCI is the outskirts of the main town Cripple Creek, NM. NCCI  is the Cripple Creek industry area, besides Scott Yard. NCCI houses a grain elevator, supermarket/furniture warehouse, and an Intermodel yard. The intermodel yard takes intermodel traffic from Albuquerque,NM, and also California. But you may see
a few double stack cars head North up to Eldorado Springs, or even Denver. Right next to the Intermodel yard, is a good size storage track, for holding extra cars from the warehouse, or maybe the local switcher taking a break!!
Double track territory begins at NCCI, which leads into Cripple Creek, and into Scott yard. To access NCCI, you have to take the siding of the double track. But the good thing about the double trackage between NCCI and Scott yard, is that there is a crossover for freights to spot their cars coming or going. Also it provides a great run around for the NCCI switch crew!!
The NCCI grain elevator sees grain cars and a few boxcars as well. The grain goes up to the Eldorado Springs stock area for the cows, and also goes North to Alamosa, and to Denver.
In the end, NCCI is a great industry railfan spot. But you do have to keep out the crews way or they won't let curious train watchers watch anymore by calling the railroad police!! But it's still a good place to visit!!
