The picture above is the layout plan for the Colorado & New Mexico Lines. (Sorry about the large black line under it.) The size of my layout is 11x22. It all fits in my basement. One thing that I forgot to put on there, is that on the right of the plan near Scott Yard, there is a 1x8 ft. board that represents the BNSF(ATSF) line extension to Santa Fe, NM. There also a switch that is for the extension of the Colorado & New Mexico Lines. The main is for the BNSF, and the switch is for the CONM. There are six main boards to this layout. The first one is Eldorado Springs. I got the original track plan from the Dec. 1994 MR issue. The next board in line, is the extension part of the Eldorado Springs yard. It loops around and goes past the Summit coaling dock, and enters through Silver Hill. These two boards are based on Colorado. The next three boards are in New Mexico. After it goes through Silver HIl, it enters into Adamsville. After this board, the last three boards are 3x6 boards. After Adamsville, it goes through NCCI (North CrippleCreek Industries) and then into the town of CrippleCreek. The last board is Scott Yard. This board houses the engines, and any other small industries. There is a board that continues on, which will be a 1x7 or 8ft. long. This is the continuation of the CONM line, and the BNSF line. |
