Top News
July 29th - Just traded the 44th pick in the amateur draft for a September monthly pick.

July 21st - Big trade was conducted four days ago when Boston traded it's future catcher of the future for 2 relief pitchers, a prospect, and a future amatuer pick. Good move? Well we'll know in a few years...

June 30th - Well the team is currently in 3rd place and overall has performed as good as I expected. Holds is pretty much the only statistic that I could really use some help in.

March 7th - A valient attempt at signing A-Rod seems to have failed. However the bullpen has been completely revamped this year in FA (Kobayashi, Percival, and Yabuta) and several possible rebound players have been added as well. All in all it's been a successful free agency period!

Who am I kidding... I really wanted A-Rod.

August 15th - A last deadline deal was rumored which would send Bronson Arroyo away. Unfortunately as it stands now a deal probably won't be reached. "We're looking for picks and prospects to further our team next year. However we're still in 2nd place right now so it's not like we're going to just roll over."

August 12th - Last night the Red Sox acquired Joe Borowski to be their 4th closer behind Al Reyes, Danys Baez and the only decent closer on the team Francisco Cordero. Borowski was acquired with Wes Littleton who will strengthen the bullpen in years to come. Freddy Sanchez is all that it cost for this haul. Although Sanchez had a fantastic year last year, this year he has fallen in the depth chart behind the youthful BJ Upton, Howie Kendrick, and Dustin Pedroia at 2B and will lose his eligibility at SS and 3B next season giving him very little use for Boston as a 4th 2nd basemen.

August 9th - Yesterday Boston drafted Jeff Manship. Today Boston drafted Daniel Duffy.

August 1st - A minot trade happened today. From the Tigers the Red Sox acquired Al Reyes who will take over the role as the second closer on the team. An August pick and a 7th rounder were given up for him. Very unusual for Boston to trade a pick... Is Boston content now? Probably not.

July 26th - The Red Sox selected Shane Victorino yesterday.

July 16th - Last night the Red Sox made their first huge deal this year by acquiring Matt Holliday and Jason Kubel for Chuck James and Nick Markakis. Holliday will instantly become the team's best OF. With the combo of Holliday, Bay, Granderson, and Pierre the team's OF looks set for quite some time. Of course Byrd, Drew, and Cust haven't been forgotten either.
