Boston Trades: Carlos Lee, Travis Hafner, and Mike Woods White Sox Trade: Bobby Jenks, Jung Bong, Ryan Klesko, Brad Wilkerson, June Pick 2004, (Daryl Ward) August Pick 2004, (William Bergolla) 800k Commentary 3/15/07 - If I would have kept Jenks this trade wouldn't look like it was the worst trade I've ever done... but when you add the fact I gave him up for Vicente Padilla this is by FAR the worst trade I've done as I could definitely use Hafner and Lee right now. Of course who couldn't use Lee and Hafner? May 15th, 2004 Boston Trades: Ryan Klesko, Vladimir Nunez, Dee Haynes LA Trades: Dimitri Young, Demaso Marte *Clause #1* If Nunez gets an ERA over 5.35 then Boston gives LA their July 2005 pick Applied (Jason Hammel) *Clause #2* If Young does not qualify for 3rd base in 2005 then LA gives Boston their July 2005 pick. Applied (Joel Zumaya) May 30th, 2004: Boston Trades: Todd Jones and Paxton Crawford LA Trades: Marlon Anderson and Luis Martinez Commentary: (3/15/2007) Martinez went from prospect to cut while Todd Jones became Mr. Closer for the Tigers since I traded him... ugh. June 14th, 2004: Boston Trades: Frank Thomas, Dimitri Young Philly Trades: Josh Barfield, Larry Broadway, Tim Spooneybarger, Wilson Betemit June 19th, 2004: Boston Trades: Travis Harper LA Trades: Ty Wigginton July 1st, 2004 Boston Trades: Kenny Rogers and Braden Looper Philly Trades: Jon Rauch, Chase Utley, Kevin Mench, Josh Karp, Curtis Granderson, 16th Amateur Pick 2004, (Landon Powell) and Phillies July Monthly Pick (Dan Johnson) July 26th, 2004 Boston Trades: Chase Utley Cubs Trade: Arizona's July Monthly, (Missed pick) St. Louis's August Monthly, (Scott Olsen) Arizona's September Monthly, (Brandon Moss) Pick 104 in Amateur 2004 (Paul Janish... Texas ended up with him? What?) *Clause* Utley has to play in 110 games in 2005 or Boston gives Cubs their 2006 July Monthly Commentary: (2006) Before I researched who the picks were I felt ok about this trade. Now I feel sick. What happened? Instead of four picks I only ended up with 2 and Brandon Moss looks like a failure. I wish I would have kept Utley... sheesh. (3/15/2007): All I have to say is PLEASE LET OLSEN BE AWESOME!!! 7/16/07 - Well at least Moss may amount to something too. August 14th, 2004 Boston Trades: Shawn Green, Round 5 Amateur (Pick 67), (Billy Becher... but I still picked...) Round 7 Amateur (Pick 104) (Paul Janish... somehow Texas ended up with him?) Diamondbacks Trade: Alex Sanchez, Brian Bruney, Josh Kroeger, Round 7 (Pick 99) 2004 (Kevin Melillo... but AZ still kept him) *Clause* Previous trade involving trade with Green with St. Louis's clause is still in affect. 2 million if he doesn't hit the required amount. Commentary: Somebody must have been sleeping at the wheel here. None of these picks went to the respective teams... August 15th, 2004 (Deadline Deal) Boston Trades: Brad Wilkerson, Derek Lowe, Kevin Youkiliis Astros Trade: Kelvim Escobar, Mike Sweeney, Morgan Ensberg Clause #1: If Youkilis does not play in 100 games in 2005, Boston gives Houston tbeir 2006 September Pick *Applied* Clause #2: If Sweeney does not play in 100 games in 2006, Houston gives Boston their 2006 September Pick *Applied* Commentary (3/15/07): Well that had to be the most pointless clause that actually had an effect... basically I got to pick one pick earlier and he got to pick one pick later. Amazing huh? Ensberg has really been the star of this trade, and was a bit unexpected. Seriously I only took him because I thought I was dealing my 3rd basemen of the future in Youkilis. My how times change. 7/16/07 - As I said my how times change. Ensberg isn't exactly the star anymore is he? Basically this trade was Derek Lowe, Kevin Youkilis for Escobar, a year of Sweeney, and a year of Ensberg. Pretty much even in my opinion. |
