STORY

Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a high school senior who just needs a day off from all the hastle at school. He fakes his parents into thinking he's sick despite his sister's pleading to make him go to school, and begins the day with a nice and easy drink next to pool, of course after rigging a new doorbell message, a snoring machine, and putting a manican in his bed that moves with the turn of his doorknob.

"The key to faking out your parents is the clammy hands...You fake a stomach crap, and when your bend over moaning and wheezing, you lick your palms. It's a bit childish and stupid, then again so is high school."

The town is in a wreck do to the illness of Ferris. Throughout the movie, we see images of good will towards Ferris' recovery, including "Save Ferris" written on the water tower and at Wrigley Field. The town loves him, as do all the movie watchers.

Ferris calls up his best friend Cameron Frye (Alan Ruck) and tells him to come over and pick him up. Cameron believes himself to be dying and takes a bit of convincing, yet in the end he joins Ferris.

"Pardon my French, but Cameron is so tight, that if you stuck a lump of coal up his ass, in two weeks you'd have a diamond"

I really do not wish to tell anymore of the story, because the funniest events follow what I have just told you, and the funniest scene of the movie, next, will be utterly ruined if I say anymore. I've already said to much so I'll say this: Ferris and his buds end up goin' into Chicago and have the day off from school of their lives. It is the funniest movie ever, and if you don't have it or haven't seen it, there is something missing in your life. It may have come out in 1986, but the movie remains a legendary film for all generations (I love it and it came out before I was born). Rent it, watch it, buy it, and don't turn it off until it's completely over (wait the credits out, the funny's keep on comin').

MY THOUGHTS

It is every kid, nay every person's dream to be Ferris Bueller, the good lookin', confident teenager that can pull of any scam, yet remain in the eyes of others as trustworthy and truthful, to be able to take one day out of your life to steal a Ferrari, go into the city, have a good time, and not worry about life, or tests, or getting in trouble, to be able to get up in a parade and sing Wayne Newton songs in front of thousands of people. Ferris Bueller is my hero, and for one day, I wish I could be him. And we all do, just for that one perfect day.
