Hate Punk Is a new breed of punk purely related to trash like racism, acts of prejudice, and also endorsing this behavior onto others. Most Hate Punk bands that are even partially mainstream are endorsed by the leaders of societies like the KKK. The KKK endorses these punk bands because the only way they can spread the diseased ideas to adolescents looking for a group to fit into.
I find that this type of music is offensive to everyone even people outside of the races being single out for racism. If this kind of music continues racism will never stop. All that happens is that the same cycle that has been going on for years repeats itself in a new generation of people.
Ska is a softer type of punk. It has the same main aspects of punk , but horns and reggae style beats are added. The result is a new type of music that relates better to people who like softer more dance orientated music. It isn't my personal favorite, but I do like to hear it occasionally, just not constantly. Most punk bands usually play with the ideas that go along with ska, but just don't limit themselves to that one type of punk. Some examples of ska bands are No Doubt, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Emo basically means Emotional. It is generally about emotions. Emo covers many areas of emotionally charged punk. Emo is very different from other punk styles. It can sometimes start out slow and stays emotional; like occasionally reaching the climax of a song and crying. Its changed basically from punk to alternative PoP. It is more singing orientated rather than just screaming ,or wrenching out harsh lyrics. The guitar in Emo punk music is much softer ,and the lyrics are abstract like poetry , and are really hard to understand. I don't know any Emo bands that I would like, therefore I don't bother to listen to this music. I got my information by randomly picking interesting information websites to learn all I could about punk.
