A very relaxing day to end the trip. We headed out early to Notre Dame. Althought there was no line to get into the cathedral, we did end up waiting for almost an hour to go to the top of Notre Dame. They send in 20 people every 10 minutes, but I swear, it was much longer. Phew were there toom any steps. We did make it all the way to the top of the tower for a spectacular view. After Notre Dame, we visited Sainte-Chapelle, one of the oldest cathedrals/churches in France, I believe. It was built between 1242 and 1248. The upstairs was beautiful, all of the walls were stain glass. We took a small break after that before walking to Place de la Bastille. Looked nice, wasn't much else to do there. We headed back and I ran into a Chocolaterie. I told myself at the beginning of the trip that I wanted to stop by one and pick up some chocolate for my students. Success! I also picked up some chocolate with cinnamon in it. Very tasty. Must resist eating more. We also picked up some souvenirs. I grabbed a handful of scarves to give out ot my family and the teacher who covered for me at work. So now I've done all my sightseeing and packing is the only adventure I have left.
