Decker was going to be the Executive officer in Star Trek: Phase
II, but no one was picked for this role before the series was canceled. But in
Star Trek: The Motion Picture Decker was played by Stephen Collins, who was
originally Captain of the Enterprise, but Admiral Kirk stepped in to take
command after V'Ger attacked Federation space..

Ilia, a new character for Star Trek: Phase II, who would have
been played by Kim Khambatta, who also appeared in Star Trek: The Motion
Picture, she played the same character, but did not appear in the other Star
Trek movies, but she would have been a regular in Star Trek: Phase II.

Xon, a new character for Star Trek: Phase II, who would have
been played by David Gautreaux, but also appeared in Star Trek: The Motion
Picture, he was in the beginning of the film, an officer on the space station
when it was attacked by V'Ger. Xon was to replace the Science officer Spock
because Leonard Nimoy did not want to do another Star Trek series, but went on
to do six Star Trek movies and guest stared in a few episodes of Star Trek: The
Next Generation.
