Membership:
There is no membership. Anyone who is interested in sharing the
tradition of folk music is welcome.
Participants are welcome to join, support and plan extracurricular
activities. For example members of the group get together to attend
MerleFest, Newport Folk Festival and Festival for the Eno.
Background:
The group was formed in October of 1988 at Hoffman Stringed Instruments
on Yonkers Road and in March of 1993 moved to Olde Raleigh Village.
Hoffman's closed at the end of 1997, so, in January 1998, we moved
to the Border's in Cary. Currently we play at North Raleigh Border's
Book Store (Six Forks and Strickland) and in Cary. Several of the
original 1988 group still play with us!
