mood: Exhilarated, capital "E." =P
music: "Mary, Mary" by Chambawamba... no idea? well, remember the song "Tub-thumping"? well it's by those peeps. ;p
blurb: interesting day today, yesterday was cool too, but i think today wins out. *BOTH* merit a blog post. =)
yesterday>> this deserves mentioning: two new street lights have been added on campus: one where i once had an accident (yay! no more watching peeps ignore right-of-way!), and another at another intersection nearer to the school. lovin' life so far. =)
while hunting for parking on campus in a garage (about 20-30 mins on a safari) was fun, it was also great waiting in the stiffling heat for my permit, running back up the 4th floor of the garage to put it on, then running back down again to goto class. ::thumbs up:: fun. ::makes face::
when i actually *got* to my classes, they were pretty cool. 'puter classes always lift up my spirits (unless we're talking about 9th grade keyboarding, then i digress ::shudder::).
o O H, and i also found out that even though i put in a reservation at the campus bookstore online on july 1st, my books *still* were not in. i wasn't annoyed or anything, 'cause you can find anything online these days. so i just decided to get them somewhere else... namely the campus bookstore's competition accross the street. ;p
drove back home about 30 mins. and went to work about 6 pm 'till 10 pm; no stupid people actually came to rent movies! ::whispers:: i better not say that too loudly. ;p
today>> as for today? well, it started off with another safari, quickly followed by getting lost (not knowing where a room is in the college of your major is *really* embarrassing). once in accounting, a class i dropped last spring after many spilt tears b/c in turn a scholarship would go bye-bye, i saw this cute guy up front looking all... professor-y. i was wondering if that was the husband of the woman i had this past spring when.... in walked in the *real* professor (grey hair and all) as i watched the other one walk out. ::snaps:: darn. the really one turned out to be really cool though, so no biggie.
ah, after my 'puter class following accounting, i went to cancel my reservation (which really didn't reserve anything anyways..), and got my books somewhere else. (note: this happened after a very charming guy gave me a drive to my car in the garage so he could steal my parking--being used that way didn't feel so bad. ;p) i nearly gave myself a heart-attack looking for my cell-phone, and even turned my car inside-out while cursing profusely... but i found it a moment later. =)
drove my 30 mins back home to get my car to my dad's (mechanic extrodinaire), and then afterwards got stopped by cops. they actually stopped *me* of all people b/c i was in a crime-infested neigborhood taking a short-cut. true i sorta rolled through a stop sign just as they turned into the neigborhood, but that didn't look at *all* like i was avoiding them. anyways, i was interrogated, the whole, "step out of your car, ma'am," scenario. it was too funny--they even asked me if i was carrying weapons or drugs with me. it seemed absurd 'cause i really don't look like that type of person. (heck, i was wearing black, mousie socks before i put on my clunky shoes to get out of the car--c'mon!) they called in all my personal info and my car info--whole nine yards--only to cop some friendly chit-chat and send me on my way with a warning. funny experience, there. (e_e);;;
you might notice there's not real booklist or movie list today--don't have the time really 'cause i finally have to go do my homework. i'm actually trying not to slack and doodle on my notes this semester, let's see how well i do. ;p
