Mercury Thermometer - Mercury Reduction Program
Many thermometers commonly used to take a person's temperature contain mercury. Mercury can be toxic to human health and hazardous to the environment. The Tri-County Solid Waste Office is encouraging all residents of the three counties to bring their mercury thermometers to the regional household hazardous waste facility in Mankato or hold them until a local household hazardous waste collection is held in their community.
