July 7th 2001 OK so a lot has happened since I last wrote. I’ll try to sum it up so it won’t take up your entire day. =c) The 4th was very uneventful. We put together a cabinet, AKA, a pantry. We needed more room for food, since the boys are seemingly eating us out of house and home and fruit bars these days lol Warren and I actually did that without fighting. A rarity when we are doing a project of this type, together. We ran into a few hitches, but thanks to warren’s cleverness, it worked out in the end. We had 3 green sparklers for the boys! WHEW! I know it’s pretty dangerous all those crazy fireworks. Hee hee. But, since they’re illegal here in Spokane, we had to deal with what we were given. They seemed to enjoy them a lot. Hopefully next 4th of July, we’ll be in Oregon and can have some real ones to show the boys. I thought Ryan would be afraid of them, but he wasn’t, he got right in there with Austin and held the sparkler and waved it around. It was cool. I finally went to the Dr for my hip yesterday. For those who are clueless as to what I am talking about, here’s a brief history. Ever since having Josh, I’ve had this horrible pain in my hip area. It progressively got worse and the last straw was the day Ryan was out front, and I had NO idea he was out there, as I was making Josh’s lunch and he was just out there playing with Austin. Well, my hip was killing me at the time and since he was out there and if he had run out in the street, I couldn’t ran after him. It was scary. Oh, and the only way I knew he was out there, was because he rang the doorbell. So anyway, I went to the Dr yesterday and after 9, X-rays they found that it was just my pelvis out of alignment from my spine and therefore causing all the pain. Every time I moved it aggravated it and swelled up, causing more pain etc etc. It was an endless cycle. So I was put on Vioxx (yes I know this is arthritis medicine, thanks to my wonderfully informant husband. ) =c) I took it once yesterday as soon as I got home, my hip was really hurting after all the twisting and pulling at the Doctor. And the pain lessened a LOT! Then I took it with my fruit smoothie this morning and even after a lot of shopping and moving around today, I feel NO PAIN! This is a first pain free day after doing that much. Normally at this time of night I can’t move and I am crying in pain. I LOVE Vioxx! =c) I had to take Josh to the ER last night. He fell out of his crib onto his little head. =c( He hit his head just below his soft spot, and we were concerned about how lethargic he was acting. So we called his pediatrician and she recommended taking him to the ER just for peace of mind. Well after 3 hours of waiting, the Doctor finally got to us, and assessed him and concluded he was just fine. However, we were to watch him closely over the next 24 hours. He also told me that had he hit his head just an inch higher, it would have caused brain damage, since it would have smashed his soft spot. UGH! I was sick to my stomach after hearing that. My poor baby boy =c( But he’s doing ok today. Back to his old self, though, sleepier than normal. He was up until 11:30pm last night, as we didn’t get out of the hospital until 11:20pm and he woke up early. We went and got the boys a slip and slide today! Oh my gosh I used to love mine. Austin got right in there, Ryan wanted nothing to do with it until we turned the hose off. Warren, yes, my husband, went on it several times! I couldn’t stop laughing. I still can’t, every time I think of him sliding. He was reluctant at first to do it, thinking he’d look silly, but then he was just going to do it once! Hahaha I think he took more turns than Austin. Bahahaha. And YES I have pics and YES I got video. Just wait until you see them. Anyway, that’s it summed up in a short journal for you. We’re going to wonderland tomorrow They have go karts, mini golf and some other cool fun stuff. We’re going with Anthony (Austin’s best friend) and his folks Jim and Christine. I’m excited! Time to go watch movies and eat Chinese. And remember, it is always best to say you’re sorry, even when you feel you’re in the right. Losing someone you love, hurts worse than losing your pride. =c) |
