In January of 2002, we moved to our new home at the First United Methodist Church of Land O Lakes. The VFW Post is still our sponsor, but in addition we have a secondary sponsor of the First United Methodist Church. We now have a Scout Hut for our meetings and we have full access to the building. As we just moved in, we still have to clean and organize the Scout Hut. We are also making preparations to shoot videotape for our project to document the experiences of Veterans. A week before shooting began, our Charter Representative with VFW Post 4932, visited us and presented us with a large donation.
James and KayJuan Fisher from VFW Post 4932 presented checks totaling $1000 to the Committee of Boy Scout Troop 323. James and KayJuan volunteered their time to help the Boy Scout Troop during 2001. Based on the volunteer hours, the Verizon Foundation provided the funds that were donated. |
