A Special Thank You to Lyla Wallace

Troop 765 want to send a special thank you to Lyla and Toeni Wallace. They tried to arrange a trade for us with a troop in Montana. When they were unable to arrange the trade they offered to send a card even though they no longer have a troop. Here's what they have to say about scouting.

Toeni and I are independent adults with no troop..that means we can do anything we choose to work on! She bridged to adult in '98, and is a camp counselor during the summer, since if it is outdoors she does it! I am a Trainer, past leader of Brownies/Juniors/Cad/Srs, lifetime GS for 20 yrs now, Program operating Unit Member, Day Camp Director. That means I get to design new patches and hold special events. Hope you become an "older" Girl Scout too! We both like to camp, lead songs, do crafts, cook outdoors and TRAVEL!!!
A PRAIRIE WINDMILL, unused for decades, persists in its noslalgic stand against the elements, silhouetted against eastern Montana's Big Sky at sundown, and marking an era when water rarely arrived by ditch or pipeline, but had to be dug from the ground if the high plains were to yield agricutural bounty.
